Streicher commits to USF

TAMPA - Sickles midfielder Brandon Streicher has verbally committed to play soccer at the University of South Florida. A three-year starter and Tribune All-County selection as a junior, Streicher also considered Stetson and the University of Tampa.

``They have taken in a lot of good players from the area and are going to be a very good team. I want to be a part of that,'' Streicher said.

Streicher led the Gryphons with 13 assists last year and is tied for the team lead this year with 12 goals.

``I can't say enough about the type of player Brandon is. He is a tremendous all-around player,'' Sickles coach Mike Rady said.

``There is no doubt in my mind he can step in and start next year. He is too good of a player not to.''
