MIT The slime dripped down from the rusted ceiling onto Debbie's face. She could sense she was not alone. She heard a noise coming from the other end of the room which echoed around. The door blow shut. She tried to move her hands but could not. How have I managed to walk into a serial killers nest? Why didn't she call for backup? Her mind was racing she know what was going to happen to her, She had seen the other body's. Jerry stopped thinking for a while but heard nothing. Had he gone? 'He' rang in her mind. Was it a he? She had always assumed that the killer was a he. She started to think who it could be. I have been part of this investigation for 3 months and I can't come up with one suspect. All the other people she had suspected had been cleared. She froze. The DI had sent her home for a couple of days, nobody will no I'm missing. She could see the newspaper headline, ‘DS walks into killers trap.' Back at the office DI Nixon was sat thinking. If I don't come up with a lead soon there could be another murder. Maybe I should call DS McAllister back in? No, she is too involved. A knock on the door woke up Sam. “Come in,” called Sam. “Guv, DS McAllister's car has been found abandoned near some warehouses,” said DS Gratton. “ Any sign of Debbie?” she asked. “No, it doesn't look good,” he replied. “Right get MIT together,” she said. Debbie tried to move the chair, but soon stopped when someone started cutting her check. No she though, I have to bay some time. “Who are you?” she asked. There was silence and then the sounds of him chopping her hair. “Please just tell me who you are, its not like I'm going anywhere is it?” Debbie started thinking of her family. They had never wanted her to go into the police and they never liked the idea of her in MIT. The cutting stopped, the door opened and shut and a car engine started. Yes he has gone. Debbie tried moving the chair but fell to the side. She tried rolling to the door. What am I doing? I'm blind folded, my hands are tied up and I'm trying to reach a door that I can't see. She tried rubbing the blindfold off by rubbing her head against the floor. It was cold and wet and hurting Debbie but she was determined to get out of this mess. The blindfold soon came off. Debbie waited a minute to get use to the light. She looked round the room in horror. The water she had been rubbing her head in was blood. She looked at her arm. The killer had stabbed her and she had not even noticed. She saw the knife. Covered in blood, it was rusty and infected. Next to it was the bleach that the killer used to wash the bodies. She soon saw the door. She looked around for something sharp. Yes! A blade. She rolled over to the blade and rubbed her hands and legs against it. She was free at last. She ran for the door, but as soon as she reached it she heard the sound of a car. She quickly scanned the room for another exit. There was a high window on the first floor. She sprinted up the stairs to the window. She ran towards it only for the floor to cave in below her. She went straight down smacking her head on the floor. She looked up, the killer was standing over her, but the image started to fade into black. |
