Who are We?
We are a 3-piece rock/punk band from a small town in central England. We do a lot of Nirvana music from all albums (Teen Spirit, Rape Me).
How did it Start???
December 2002
Back in December of 2002 Conor (Bass) and Nico (Ex-Guitar) decided they wanted to make a band. At the time Conor did not have a Bass but was to receive one at Christmas. They recruited the drumming skills of Sam Toms, due to him being the only drummer in the school who played rock (the rest played Jazz or not very good). Conor also decided to ask Daniel Mac, who had been playing for about 2/3 years at the time and was into Nirvana as well. After seeing that the band had been formed Nico joined.January 2003
The band had now rehearsed together about 3 times and had already made 3 (poor) songs, all just riffs. The guitar section of the band were able to record together a few times, but only being able to just practice with drums included. There was also no vocalist of any sort at the time so we worked on getting timing of songs.
March/April 2003
The 4 piece band had been now reduced to 3 with the departure of Nico. He claimed that the band never practiced and he didn't really think that we were still a band. Now down to 3, Nirvana songs, of which we did plenty, were easier. We had also found a vocalist, Conor, who at first just sang. But as time went on we had the Bass and Lyrics in time and together.
We had also recorded a few cover demos of Nirvana tracks, but this hasn't yet been put on CD.May 2003
The band had found that the recording studio in our school was a convenient to practice everyday. We used it in lunchtimes for 3 weeks every day, but with lack of half decent and working equipment we were sometimes forced to use our own. We had also discussed a possible gig in a Year 9 assembly, but with GCSE's and SAT's, the hall was always in use.We we are today
21 June 2003
We done our gig at lunch. It was a massive mosh pit with Nirvana songs.
