Location: 1.6km north of Brandon just off Highway 10
Runways: RWY 8/26 is an asphalt runway 150 feet wide, 6,500 feet long, and RWY 14/32 which is intended for only small aircraft. A small glider runway just south of main runway.
Area: Occupies approx. 736 acres, about 318 acres is harvested for cereal grain crops and 244 acres for hay crops.
The airport is home to the Brandon Flying Club, Maple Leaf Aviation, and the Commonwealth Air Training Plan museum.
Currently there are no scheduled passenger service at the airport. Perimeter Airlines does scheduled cargo flights between Winnipeg-Dauphin-Brandon. The City of Brandon is hoping to get scheduled air service from Westjet. Westjet has done two successful trial runs between Calgary and Brandon in the past 5 years.
The Cadets do glider training at the airport, and C-130's from CFB Winnipeg do training exercises at the airport. They do touch and go's, low approaches, bundle drops, and occasionally SAR tech's.
The airport is also the backup for Winnipeg. On more than one occasion aircraft headed to Winnipeg had to divert to Brandon due to weather.
