My Ambassador of Kwan Joss Whedon

This page is dedicated to the creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" & co-creator of "Angel", my Ambassador of Kwan- Joss Whedon.
Joss Bio: born Joe Whedon. His birthday is June 23rd, 1964
Joss' father and grandfather were big TV writers in their day- alot to live up to there- & we all know he did it well. Joss went to Wesleyan College to study film. Then he married his wife, Kai. Joss started writing for the TV show "Rosanne" {I actually saw a Joss episode recently, it was really good (consider the Source, but it really was)}, he quit after a season when he sold his first script. He soon became Hollywood's Mr. Fix-it, being asked to make characters more enjoyable. Joss felt really burnt being in the film business, a lot of his work was being cut, distorting his vision of a film. The perfect solution? A TV show, where he could get total creative control. Where he found it? "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer", a show based on the flop movie of the same name, only given the chance to become a TV show because the movie had become a cult hit. "Buffy" did very bad in the ratings for season one, any other network would have axed it. But newbie The WB kept it on, because, frankly, they weren't doing very good in the ratings in general & realized that the show was good- regardless of the ratings (other networks would have axed it simply for ratings, nothing else). By the time season 2 had started, "Buffy" had attained a small, but big enough group of devout followers. The lead character, Sarah Michelle Gellar, had become a star. The show continued to do good in the ratings for all of season 2 & season 3. Marking the WB's highest ratings during the airing of the second part to Season Two's 2 Night Event- the ratings set in January 1998, broken in the Fall of 1999. Joss, & his close co-worker David Greenwalt, saw potential in the character of Angel for a spin-off. Unlike most spin-offs, "Angel", lauching in the Fall of 1999, was a success, generating an average of a million extra viewers than "Buffy" per week. Currently, Joss Whedon divides his busy schedule between "Buffy", "Angel", & the little snip of a life he can get on Sundays, his one day off.
Films he's worked on: (Note: Some aren't credited) Buffy the Vampire Slayer-1992 Speed-1994 Waterworld-1995 Toy Story-1995(For which he got an Oscar nomination) Twister-1996 Alien Resurrection-1997
Above honorable mentions of Buffy Episodes: "Lie to me", "Innocence", "Becoming", "Graduation Day", "Hush"
