That's My Take
My thoughts on the subject of Buffy & Angel Buffy

Eps 3-5:
Sorry I haven't been writing, but, I haven't been inspired to. I enjoyed last week's episode, but, this weeks was not well put-on. I think things have gone downhill since the opener. Remember writers: this isn't just emotional television, it should have depth in a different sense as well.

"Beneath You":
Well, if you didn't read that latest entry thought on "Lessons", go read it cause it's important to this next thought. It just actually kinda spoke out to me while watching the beginning of this ep, "they're potential slayers". That's what something whispered to be about the opening sacrifices from around the world. They're girls, they're tough - &, let's face it, I thought of it years ago. My big end-of-Buffy fanfic about robbing the world of the last slayer. Well, I get the spider sense, this is what's happening. That's why Faith's in the final 5 eps. That's why Dawn will be the next called... Moving on. Buffy even calls Spike the "champion of the people", sarcastically but it serves its purpose (for you non-Angel watchers, that's what they ALWAYS call Angel, the vampire with a soul who will either save or destroy the world). That was a very deliberate comment. Almost too deliberate. Is that just what we're supposed to think? Sidenote, Buffy's high morality always pisses me off. She's a bitch to Spike. I know, the rape thing. But she's always been that way. It's very annoying. Since when is there a church in the graveyard? I've never seen it. We've seen a church - or two, actually. But, since there are 40 in Sunnydale & all ("What's My Line") it's probably not the same one. Can you count the satanic temple on Kingman's Bluff toward the count? I just have way too much Buffy knowledge. It ain't healthy. The big dramatic scene at the end? A bit much. But I can see Buffy being moved by what Spike did for her love - but, you know who wasn't moved? Me. Sure, I liked the lighting & the setting, but, I ain't feeling it. Random file - Spike asks Buffy if this is what she wanted, him to have a soul & then asks the air the same thing - could he be asking God, in His church, or the Devil - what I've theorized as The First. Next topic - is Willow calling Xander a liar? She wonders if her friends will accept her after everything? Xander kinda stopped the world from ending professing he would, but, hey, some writer wanted the lines spoken, so. &, finally, I'd like to point out the very best thing ever - PENIS! That was so great. I had to rewind it to see if Anya had actually said it - "oh, penis!". That's great! Because I say that ALL THE TIME. It's my thing. I'm revealing too much, I'll shut up. Anyway, I bitch & moan & all but I'm psyched about this season. It's so intense so early, I hope it stays that way & I'm happy its getting going. But, Joss, you better write more episodes because, if you don't, I'm going to be so scorned I'll turn myself into a big wormy thing & eat ya up! Look out!
