That's My Take
My thoughts on the subject of Buffy & Angel Buffy

A couple of quick things to add: I didn't notice til the second time watching it that Buffy actually broke that main guy's staff - so she can't go back & get power that way. A comment on that is that, to defeat Adam, that's the power the Scoobies tapped into. Buffy could have most likely been as powerful as she was when she defeated Adam by accepting the offer. It's interesting that they said Buffy was the last guardian of the hellmouth. That I can believe as I think, since Angel's still going & they can't have Buffy end all demons as the finale, that the finale is going to be the end of the hellmouth forever. The guy's also said Buffy was the last slayer. This is interesting for a couple reasons. One) it's admitting defeat. Two) Faith was called after Buffy, so it's saying that Faith will die before Buffy, making Buffy the last. Three) it's saying Buffy will be the last slayer for good. Perhaps it's like in my fanfic, Buffy will be robbed of her slayerhood - but first Faith & all the potentials will have to die (there goes my what-if-Dawn-is-already-a-slayer theory). Not only that, it means that Buffy will be the last. & why give her power if she already is going to be the last? Maybe because there's something Buffy can do to save the world, even if the slayer line will be lost forever. Comment on Faith dying? NO!!!!!!! I love Faith. I will so cry if Faith dies. NO!!!!

"First Date" & "Get It Done"-
The suicide of Chloe shows the First is evil. I don't know if that has really sunk in with the audience because it's just been doing the normal evil things, like raising demons, we're all used to. The suicide was shocking & an interesting twist & very interesting how they handled it. About the first slayer... we knew what was done to make her that before - we didn't know how though. The question before the court is: was it right? So, I have to ask: what is right? Letting many die or empower one girl to fight at the cost of her humanity & self. What is right is a hard question. It's the question that has been asked the entire show & I think that Buffy has always chosen what those men who gave the slayer power chose. What is right is to fight at any cost to the fighter for the greater good. Can Buffy go back & be empowered - probably. What will it mean? What I was envisioning when I thought when Buffy died after 5th season it meant she lost her humanity because it was Dawn's - the human - blood it needed & not the slayer blood. A primal slayer - no. Just Buffy minus Buffy. But Buffy is what has made her last this long, I truly believe. It's best she doesn't go down the path she refused last ep. Last comment, I keep hearing all this about everything going down earlier - let me see it. Cause so far, I haven't.

READ the end of Buffy & Angel Fanfic I constantly refer to
Angel

Add on: I don't have anything figured out, this is just a rant. Okay, Cordelia saw all in the higher realms. She saw Angel's encounter with the Beast, so she knew where to get a minion. She raises it up under her control & kills the people that initially banished him so they couldn't do it again. She erases all memory of the Beast in Angel & the world at some point for some unknown reason. But, then, consider that Cordelia too could be under control of something if this is actually Cordelia & not someone else having been sent back from the higher realms. There are so many inconsistencies with it not being Cordelia the whole time but one thing is clear & very telling: no visions. I don't know why I didn't make a bigger fuss about it before or why I barely even noticed. Obviously, the one vision in the last episode was faked. Even the ritual itself - Cordelia could have powers to fake all the effects or they could have been real & the ritual stopped when she cracked the skull with her powers. Something telling too is that the gift the Beast bestowed upon his master was the knife, I'm pretty sure, that Cordelia used to kill Lilah, which means Cordelia is the boss. That's another thing: why kill Lilah? Angelus would have done it. I understand that the boss, who may be Cordelia or in Cordelia's form or the other spoiler thing I talked about below, wants all Wolfram & Hart people dead, but Cordelia had an opportunity before when she was alone with Lilah before Angelus came back to the hotel & also why not just let Angelus do it. Why? Maybe to let Angelus know you're on his side. Maybe. I don't know. Another thing is about Wolfram & Hart. I should have seen it before - all of this is about Angelus. All of this was a plan for Angel. Blocking out the sun so he can always go out, bringing Angelus back, killing Angel's enemies- Wolfram & Hart. & how the hell was Lorne fooled? It better be just the boss' power & not that Lorne is bad. Those are my thoughts - that is my rant. Yea - Faith is coming!!!! Three episodes on Angel & then she's off to Buffy for the last five (the new Buffy next week is the second to last non-new Buffy episode with Faith for forever!)

"Calvary" -
I didn't write anything right after the episode because there's not much to say. I brought up last week or the week before that it was quite possible Cordelia never came back from the higher realms. I don't think I need to sit & explain how that would actually make sense looking at recent past events (Conner, Inside Job, Soul Stealing). SLIGHT SPOILER AHEAD: I do want to suggest that also the baby inside her could have control of her sometimes. END OF SPOILER. It would actually make more sense for it actually to be Cordelia but with something in control of her some of the time because there are inconsistencies otherwise (Lorne bringing her memory back & sucking that out of her head - although that could be just what was in the creature pretending to be Cordelia's head, another inconsistency is the dream sequence in the beginning of the ep where she slept with Conner where she worries about the Beast). It would just make a lot more sense if it actually were Cordelia being controlled by what I said earlier in the spoiler-thing or something else. Of course, it could very well be that Cordelia is still up in the higher realms. Other than that, I'm angry the WB postponed the first Faith episode another week. It'll air on the 5th.
