They are a series of four books by LJ Smith. They tell a story like non-other, only kind o like Buffy.
They will capture you. They are an experience that you will never forget. You follow the story of Elena- a human girl- & her love, Stefan, a vampire with a conniving brother named Damon. It's darker than Buffy, but I often find parallels to it & Buffy, you should check it out
