Since TCBA Jr's inception, TCBA has been part of the Dragon Boat circuit. Starting with a crew in 1992, TCBA's success, race after grueling race, has made it the team to beat, with an unprecedented 3 competitive-level teams racing the waters in 1999!
Due to popular demand, TCBA Junior Chapter is launching a 4th crew to compete in Dragon Boat festivals throughout Ontario. Having achieved great success in past years, the program is dedicated to continued competitiveness and sportsmanship.

We are signing up volunteers for the 12th Annual Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival happening at Centre Island on June 24 and 25, 2000.
Celebrating its 12th year, the festival is organized by the Toronto Chinese Business Association. The festival combines culture and sports with 180 teams competing in approximately 85 races, with more than 30 multicultural and community group performances. It is being supported generously by corporate, as well as small businesses.
Meeting all expectations in 1999, the Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival once again broke its record with 120,000 attending last year's event, garnering it as one of the most successful and popular summer events in Toronto and Southern Ontario.
TCBA is filling positions for the mainland, command post, hospitality, stage & entertainment, souvenirs, race site, and the cultural village.
Hours vary according to the position. We require a time commitment of both days.
For generously donating your time - you will receive a certificate of participation, an official 2000 Dragon Boat t-shirt, lunch, water, and a Volunteers' Thank You party.
