MEMBERSHIP

There shall be three classes of membership in the T.C.S.A, namely: Regular, Associate and Life

Regular Membership shall be open to any full time employee of a city, town or other jurisdiction whose primary duties are working with traffic painting, sign maintenance or related fields.

Life Member shall be an individual who has been a Regular Member, or an Associate Member (Vendor) who has been retired from his/her company or agency.

Associate Membership may be granted to any individual or company upon application for membership, and payment of prescribed annual dues, subject to the approval of the Board.

DUES
The annual dues for Regular Members shall be $15.00; due and paid by December 15 of each calendar year, thereafter, it shall be $20.00.  Life Members shall not pay any dues, but will be required to pay one half of lunch fee.  The annual dues for Associate Members shall be $40.00 per company, per chapter.  The State Board will process all Associate Membership Applications.  They will retain $5.00 per company and forward the remainder with copy of Application to the local chapter.

Any dues received beginning with October 1 of a calendar year shall place that member as an Active Member for the balance of the present year and also the ensuing year.

MEETINGS
There shall be a Host Agency and Sponsoring Vendor for each meeting on a voluntary basis.  The host Agency shall set a time and place for the meetings, notifying the Vice President 30 days in advance so that the membership can be notified. Meetings of this association shall meet at least six times per year on the last Friday of the month or as close thereto as possible.

VOTING RIGHTS
Any paid member has one vote and must be present to cast that vote.

DISSOLUTION OF ASSOCIATION
In the event of dissolution of the Association, any assets shall not be distributed among it’s members, but shall be transferred to a recognized charitable organization designated by the membership.

AMENDMENTS
These Bylaws may be amended by any business meeting provided that the general membership shall receive proper notification of any proposed changes at least fifteen (15) days prior to a meeting.  Any amendment or revision shall require a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the voting members present for adoption.

These Bylaws were modified by the Chapter Officers on August 16, 1994 and approved by the general membership at San Leandro , California on September 30, 1994.
