Welcome to the science of life. This course is designed to give you a sampling of the many branches of biology, and will range from the crazy chemicals that make life possible, to the many organisms found on the living planet that we call earth. I will do my best to give you a positive experience in biology and hopefully turn some of you onto a career in one of the many life science fields.

 Grading:

Test 40%
Quizzes  35%
CP 10%
Yellow cards  15%

 Materials:

  • Spiral notebook(100 sheets or less, please)
  • Paper/pen

EOC:

This is an EOC course. the EOC exam will count 25% of your final grade and must be passed in order to receive credit for the course.

Lab/Extra Help:

The key to being successful in this class is being able to understand biology.  If you are having a difficult time with a certain concept, it would be very wise to come and talk with me after school as soon as possible.  Biology builds on the previously learned material.  Every concept that you will learn this semester is never dropped, just added to.  As a result of this, I will hold a help session on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:10 AM.
