Welcome to Physics!  This is a comprehensive course covering many topics in the field of classical physics.  It is a course that will require you to think and do your best.  I am here to facilitate your learning of the subject, but ultimately, you are responsible for your success in this class.   This semester, I am looking for quality work from each of you.  In order to meet that expectation, you should plan on spending at least thirty minutes per night on physics.  I will do my best to make physics a positive and enjoyable experience.  Good luck!

EOC:This is an EOC course.  The EOC exam will count for 25% of your final grade and must be passed in order to receive credit for the course.Extra Help:The key to being successful in this class is being able to understand physics.  If you are having a difficult time with a certain concept, it would be wise to come and talk with me after school as soon as possible.  Physics builds on the previously learned material.  Every concept that you learn this semester is never dropped, just added to.  As a result of this, I will hold a help session on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:10 AM.Honors Option: In order to receive honors credit in physics, you must do the following:

  • answer additional honors level questions on quizzes and exams

  • construct an original apparatus to perform an egg drop
