With the support of the Canberra Dance Development Centre and ADFA Fencing Club Junior fencers are able to train with other junior fencers and senior fencers. The addition training to help improve the young fencers.
This is an experimental exercise to help development and build a strong foundation for competitive junior fencers.
With the intial concepton of this Junior squad Information was circulated under the ACTFA letterhead. I must advise, however, that these sessions have been promoted and coordinated without any time the endorsement or support of the ACT Fencing Association.
The Junior Squad I am assembling is not neccessarily representative across all junior fencing in the ACT. ACTFA has advised me that they are unable to support such initative.
I am writing to you therefore to advise that the Junior Fencing Squad will now be progessed by the Temps de Fleche Fencing School will remain unchanged.
I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
I must point out that any junior fencer in Canberra is welcome to join the Junior Squad and still retain their Club's name.
So far in my 12 years of fencing, I have only seen a hand full of juniors and unfortunately at far less competitions. The only junior fencers I have known compete in any competition outside the ACT have been the ones I have coached.
If there are any coaches out there in the ACT
who have a junior fencers please affiliate and send them to any ACTFA Junior competition. My juniors fencers would love to fence against them.
I hold my own Junior Competitions and any junior is welcome to join in.
