Team Development & Facilitation Consulting is a private consulting practice lead by Richard M. York and talented associates in the people and process consulting business.

Mr. York is an experienced manager, project leader, consultant and facilitator with a strong track record of building teams and leading them to develop and deploy effective solutions to business challenges. He is a strong verbal communicator, motivator, educator, presenter and experienced personnel coach and counselor.

Mr. York completed a 34 year career with IBM.

As a Senior Global Sales Operations Consultant, he built and led an international team which developed and deployed IBM's global internal technical sales support web portal supporting over 10,000 IBM professionals. He also developed and deployed processes which increased intellectual capital creation and reuse an estimated 50%. He built and led a team which developed and deployed processes and tools by which IBM's customer executives were briefed on the full range of IBM support available to them.

As IBM's Americas Year 2000 Contingency Planning Manager, Mr. York built and led the team which developed and deployed IBM's Y2K contingency plans for its North and South American technical sales support division. These audited and tested plans covered the critical personnel, processes, systems and infrastructure required for IBM to support its customers during any disruption caused by the Y2K rollover.

He is a member of Southwest Facilitators Network , the International Association of Facilitators , East Texas Human Resources Association, DFW Operations Development Network and member and past Vice President of the American Society for Training and Development - Dallas Chapter ( ASTD) . He is also an Executive Trainer for Collin County Community College District and also consults for the Dallas Center for Non-Profit Management and the Tyler/Smith County Nonprofit Development Center. He is a member of the Tyler Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. York is also an Inscape Publishing Authorized Distributor.

He is a former Director of the Ashmore Homeowners' Association.

Mr. York is a graduate of Baylor University.
