Ron Antens

After finishing highschool, Ron studied at the Brabant Conservatory in the town of Tilburg. There he got his certificates for AMV (teaching music on highschool-level), DM Tuba (teaching the tuba) and Conducting Windbands. After his studies he fulfilled his militairy duties as soldier-musician with the Band of the Dutch Engineers.

Ron has chosen to work in a broad field of music, as shown in his education-path at the conservatory. He is active as highschool-teacher for music, he conducts a youthband in his native town of Tilburg and he teaches the tuba as private teacher with the Orpheus Windband and the Tilburg Dance- and Music School. As a tubaplayer we can hear Ron as a freelancer with professional ensembles like the Amsterdam Wind Orchestra, the Aquarius Ensemble and, of course, The Dutch Tuba Quartet.
