Rationale:
This quest is meant to be done toward the end of students' studies of world civilizations.  This project should help students think about why civilizations fall.  While the conclusions students make are not all going to be the same, in allowing students to come to their own conclusions they learn that their thoughts have validity.
 
Materials:
Process:
  1. Introduce the project to students by reading each part together.  This activity can be done individually or a group of students.  Each student in a group could take one of the civilizations for collecting information.
  2. Give students a timeline for completing the gathering of information and creating a final project.
  3. Have students collect their information from the web site(s).
  4. Create the final project.
  5. Present the project to the class
