Rome and Greece

Data Sheet

INTRODUCTION:

You have been chosen to take a trip back in time.  A time that was very different than today.  You will need to have skills that have disappeared with time.  As you step into the Chariot Time Machine, be sure to take medicine, a calculator, and a your dial for the time machine. Learn as much about the two cultures as you can.  You will not be able to go back once you return to the present.
Task:
Visit the web sites and cull the information that you will need to understand what everyday life must have been like thousands of years ago.  You will need your data sheet.  Remember you just take notes.  You do not need to write complete sentences, just enough to help you remember.  When you fill in your data sheet, you will use the information to teach others about Greece and Rome.
Process:
  1. Read the information above.
  2. Take your data sheet and begin looking for information.
  3. Write down anything that will help you understand the culture.
  4. As you look for information, keep in your mind that you will want to consider how these cultures are alike (compare) and how they are different (contrast). Also compare and contrast how they are different from our culture.
  5. When you have collected all your data, begin thinking about how you will teach others about what you have learned.
  6. Create a project.  (Make a PowerPoint presentation, a poster, a news article, or any other project that your teacher approves.)
  7. Present your project to the class.
