Suggestions from Cary: Could we invite students (with scanners) to send pictures (scanned postcards) of their homes or places they've visited? Holidays, etc. Plus descriptions? Could students recommend local sights, even CHEAP and CHEERFUL boarding houses on their area or at their holiday resorts, etc. for weary travelers? Click to see the "travelrecommendations" Could we start a real life story page (CLICK HERE): each contributor produces a story about an event in his life (anonymously if he / she wants). It might make interesting reading. We could, I suppose, add pre-teaching notes, comprehension / vocab questions??? Could be useful for teachers... Must go. In 1990 I started writing books for children. I spent $1500 on the printing of one book and $700 for antoher book. Then I decided that I would wait until the price of duplication and publishing could become cheaper..... And now I can write stories and "publish" them on the Internet! You are invited to send ideas for the Silly Man... The central idea is this: the Sillyman does things that appear to be silly or stupid or not a good idea. He does things that a normal person does not do.... but there's a reason behind the action and it should be a good thing for other people to copy him. THe first page shows the silly thing or action, then the next page explains why the silly man does things.... You need to guess why the silly man does the things he does. |
