If the deck seems to be acting stubborn, such as if no cards are raising up while doing the draw, to me it is a sign to flip the deck over to the other side. Remember reversed cards can mean a total different thing. Some times I will shuffel the cards again as in Image 2 or 3 or cut them back to front as in Image 8 and 9. Perhaps the card the spirits want is at the front or back of the deck and cutting them in this way will change the order of the deck.
If several cards keep coming up it means the person is dealing with alot of situations. The first card drawn represents the querent. They are thinking of too many different things as you are doing the reading.... Sometimes I will quote to the person... you are thinking of too many different things...there is alot going on in your life right now. Or they are dealing with alot of important issues and or decisions. Then I will ask the person to concentrate on the most important issue so the cards will give a more accurate reading
Remember always use your intuition and words to guide or comfort the querent to help the reading.
Once the deck has presented you with a card draw it out of the deck and place it on the table.... ALWAYS position the top of the cards in the same way. If you put the left side of the deck as the top of the card always do it in that way. I draw out the card with my right hand and flip it over in the same way every time.... Consistancy in which is the top of the card is important so as not to confuse the spirits. Practice using the same hand motions in each and every reading. Always draw and lay the cards down consistantly in every reading. The tarot deck has several cards that can mean the same thing depending on if they are upright or reversed. With consistant placement the spirits will know which card to use to get the correct meaning. For example both the Wheel of Fortune and the 10 of Pentacles both mean sucess and rewards.
But if the 10 of Pentacles is reversed it means the opposite ... it means loss or failure.
The Wheel of Fortune reversed still means sucess and reward but in a lesser degree.
CONSISTANCY IN CARD PLACEMENT TECHNIQUE IS VERY IMPORTANT
