PAPEL PICADO These Mexican cut-out or punched papers are hung in groups to form banners put out for fiestas. The tissue paper rectangle can be folded like a fan or folded in half and then into a triangle several times, always folds together. Tiny repetitive shapes are then cut down the main fold. The edge may be scalloped or pinked. String the straight longer side by laying a string along it and folding over to glue. |
