In 1991 my mom graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Early Childhood Education. Due to her desire to travel and pursue her education, she decided to complete her post-graduate studies abroad. After spending a year living in Glasgow and deciphering the Glaswigian slang she graduated with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (a.k.a. Bachelor of Education) from Jordanhill College of Education.
Upon returning to Canada, mom and dad settled in British Columbia. While I was only a distant thought in her head, mom worked in a Day Care Centre and was a Program Planner for a Preschool. Soon after she began her teaching career at a school for children with Learning Disabilities. After four years teaching grade 5 and various other levels mom talked dad into starting a family!
Since my arrival, mom's been pretty busy. She has begun her Masters of Education and a home buisness selling TOYS! Her days are now spent taking care of me, booking toy parties and maintaining this website. |
