Family and friends are invited to attend but need to stay
in the staging area of the park (Avalon Area).
We provide the canoes, paddles, maps and water
sources…you provide yourself, your gear (water bottles, energy bars, asprin!), a mountain bike (all speeds welcome, especially
you crazy single speeders!), a bike helmet, some good friends and a crazy desire to
go to your extremes for a day!
The Challenge is rain or shine….so be prepared.
Hurricanes, tornados, severe lightening, snow storms and alien invasions may cause some delay or postponement. We’ll keep you posted via website and phone calls.
And what is the fruit of our labor? All proceeds from the Eco-Adventure Challenge will go directly back into the park through the Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park.
The Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park is the park's "Friends Group" that has been established as a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit, charitable foundation. Their purpose is to improve the Visitor Center and to help the park raise funds to improve trails and interpretive exhibits and programs.
