About Leukemia: Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is when doctors use drugs to try and kill leukemia cells. Chemotherapy is received in cycles: a treatment period, then a recovery period, and then another treatment period. There is also a special kind of treatment called targeted therapy. This treatment targets only the infected cells, and leaves the normal cells unharmed.
