TSV has indeed come a long way, surmounting obstacles, being called names when the timetrials we put thru its paces, and having the program thrown back with ridicule. BUT! We emerged unscathe, unaffected and oblivious to the scorn and now, envy of others. Starting the Time Trials itself was a challenge, Singapore is small, we don't have a proper track-yet, nor a conducive skating rink where a circuit may be consistently marked and used. But thru it all, TSV has been indigenious and adaptive, always the gungho group to try out new places to have our time trials and formats.

Officially launched in January 2002, and consisting of 3 TT's, the Points League, scheduled to end its run in June 2002, saw many members rise to the challenge of beating timings and scores set by others, and even toppling their own personal best. Psychologically challenging, and physically demanding. No amount of training can ever replicate the amount of stress and adrenalin rush each time trialists goes thru when doing their distances and runs.

Above all, as we see the closure of the 1st points league, and looking forward to many more successful TTs ahead of us, it is thru the dignity, pride, perseverance and the beliefs of our members that the TSV-TT and Points League was brought to realism. And lastly, as the team's coach, any amount of hardwork put into training the team was worth it, when seeing their faces, as they cross the finish line, knowing they have bested themselves again. For that we all know, we are on the right track, we have done no other teams can accomplish...

Special congratulations to all award winners, Best Performing Junior, Best Performing Women, Best Performing Men and of course a "Golden Wheel" award for the Best Overall Achiever. Work hard to defend your titles. But for those who did not receive an award, don't forget that the most important thing here is that everyone bested their own time, so awards or not, everyone is a WINNER! And good luck to you all in the next League!
