THE EDITOR IS LAME.
so i'm a Liberal at heart...but i'm a Canadian first. i'm told i'm pretty open minded and also find i'm pretty much unbiased.i'm not a dramatic and i can't stand high school drama. this time the high school drama that have been embodied by this "writer" in his editorials have gotten so pathetic that the only reason that i keep reading it is to see what stupid shit he can come up with day after day.
now, i realize that the liberals did some REALLY stupid shit. i also believe that mr martin probably knew more than he was willing to admit about the scandal, but after reading for the past couple years about how terrible the liberals are i'm getting concerned that our little friend has become so obsessed with the writing about the conservative that he's possibly taking a kickback of his own from mr harper. let me give you a little piece from the latest ts article that might give you a very small idea as to where i'm coming from
he has this to say about harper's recent visit to afganistan
- "A Canadian prime minister who personally goes into harm’s way to tell our troops how much their work is appreciated."
a pm is supposed to do whatever he/she can to bring the country's support up. he's not the first to do this ya know.
- "A Canadian prime minister who declares he wants this country and our military to show “leadership on global issues.”
i'm very confident in saying that both martin and chretien did this many times...once again it's not a first
- "A Canadian prime minister who believes our forces should be defending “core Canadian values” and “doing good when good is required.”
isn't that the whole reason why martin and chretien kept us out of iraq, gave us the gay marriage debate (to support equality among us) and sent us into afganistan?
- "A Canadian prime minister who pledges to honour our military commitments and not “cut and run.”
i don't think he had much choice!!!! he didn't start it! he's mearly taking this action because he'd look like such a moron internationally to suddenly pull us out!
- "A Canadian prime minister with a clear vision for our military that includes everything from “hard combat” to the “softer” reponsibilities of development and peacekeeping."
kudos to him...i'm happy to see he's continuing on with everything that the ts has bitched about from the liberals
- "A Canadian prime minister who remembers 24 Canadians were murdered in the 9/11 attacks and who understands we are a key ally in the war on terrorism and an al-Qaida target."
is this hard for the ts to forget that NOBODY HAS FORGOTTEN THIS?!?!
we've been listed as a target for al qaida and it's pretty fuckin obvious that we are a key ally otherwise someone else would be doing our duties in afganistan. this editor has obviously taken the skills of an amature (like myself) and played himself into a role where he's writing about stuff that suddenly broadsided him from a conservative gov't that hasn't yet don'e ANYTHING different than what martin gov't was in the process of doing. furthermore, this can't get any more interesting since harper still has a MINORITY GOV'T that will be hounded by the opposition liberals. i doubt we're in for that much of a change. also, (and i could add these bonuses all night), the editor of the ts didn't seem to have much to say wrong about how mr harper has been consistently avoiding the process that the ethics commissioner has laid out about appointing a floor crossing mp that he may or may not have bought out. keep up the great (comedy) work...and please, give us all another laugh.
