So after lots of thinkin after reading the news today i realized something. that something is that there is way more shit in the heads of some journalists than there is in my cat's litter box at this point (and there's lots in morgan's litter box right now). now, if i'm wrong, then i've obviously missed the point of costume parties. it's not to dress neccessarily like someone you admire. it's to dress like something that you think would be original. it's to have a good time. it's about creativity.
on the other side of things there is the fact that harry's choice was made a little close to a time that the jewish community holds close...the liberation of auschwitz. many jewish people, among others, lost there lives in that camp and in freeing it from the nazis and that is something we should never forget. personally i don't think harry forgot that.
while i don't think his timing was well planned, i also don't think that he did anything wrong. it also isn't fair to just blame the journalists but to also blame the lughead morons that aren't writing the stories but instead are fueling these bumbling fools that have nothing better to do than pick apart everything that is done by the royals. i mean, i'm not a real big fan of the royals but this is just overdone. is harry the first person to go to a costume party dressed as a nazi? what of the people that dress as confeds for a costume party? is it gonna touch a nerve if someone on SNL goes on air as saddam? I'VE SEEN SOMEONE DRESSED AS BIN LADEN! while the biggest murderer of that group was saddam, nobody seems to bat an eye when they see a costume like that...then again, maybe it woulda caused a stir had it been the prince. while we should never forget what happened in those camps, in those wars, in history's most cowardice times, lets not forget as well that harry is human like all of us. while some people look at it as disrespect, i don't. the people that are having a fit over this have more fear than acceptance. the past happened and we need to remember our mistakes and move on. harry obviously has.
