EEN DOUBLE SINK OLD BOYS 28/30/05
Even without recognised keeper, Team forza managed to win this friendly match against Balestier Hill Old Boys. All department were fully equip except the goalkeeper.K was assigned to take this position. The pitch at Canberra was one of the best compare to other pitches we played... but due to heavy rain, both teams were forced to play waterpolo match at times instead of football.
Forza started the match with bombarding the old boys with waves of attacks.Alimran terrorised the full back with his hard running game but his final cross was poor. The first time combination of Hashim and debutant Shawal did enough to keep the keeper busy with their shooting.Unfortunately they both left their scoring boots back at their home. The chances we had were countless. Many opportunities went wasted. With lots of attacks were made, forza went asleep at the back when the old boys made a rare counter attack which resulted the opening goal of the match.
In the second half, Forza made a tactical change with Een, Jufri and Jerry were put upfront replacing Hashim, Shawal and Alimran.Zul took charge from the middle of the park with commanding display. He lead the comeback with beating the midfielders amd defenders through the middle to level the score.Forza then took the lead through Jerry after a good work from the left flank by Julius.Een extended the lead to 3-1 when the defender failed to clear in the 71st min.The old boys try to come back by scoring another goal when K failed to catch a harmless ball.Een wrapped up the show when shoot from a distant to earn him his second goal of the match ten minutes before full time.He should score four goals in the match if he was sharp enough for the match. Final score 4-2 to team Forza
