About the Japanese license plates replicas.
People seen to be wanting two types: the typical, correct Japanese DMV-type plate or a personalized plate similar to our vanity plates. These plates are roughly 6 1/2" tall and 12 7/8" wide and are the exact same size as the real ones. One person got a license plate frame from Japan and it fitted perfectly.
There is no problem with the Correct DMV style. Turn around for Me to get one is going to be at least 2 weeks and the price is $40 plus $5 Shipping.
The Vanity plate is a bit more work. They can fit a max of 7 letters on the lower line only. The Upper line is already set when they get them. They say they can do: Japanese chacters, #'s and English letters. They will not translate for you. Which means you will need to fine someone to that for you. It would be best if you could put together a quick layout of what you want. Turn around for Me to get them is going to be at least 3 weeks and the price will most likely be $45.
They can also get the Euro/German long plates.These fit the back license plate area in the Del Sol perfectly. For the nice one with the reflective paint, Germany symbol and frame with hardware is going to be in the $70-$90 range.
Quick warning! Some states don't like you having these. In Cal. it can be a $10 ticket if they stop you. If you got caught with them in Japan it's most likely jail time. If you get them try to be smart about it or use them for shows only. E-mail me if you are interested.
The main reason I'm doing this is because people couldn't find these plates and I work across the street from a place that can get them.

P.S. I also have a source on getting the black plastic plate frames like the dealers and magazines,like Import Tuner, get. Theses are the ones that can have the text go over the regular frame edges. Min. order in 500 though. Below is a random sample of a frame they did.
