"Hey
Mom" Amy said cheerily laying back on her Hotel Room,
"Amy my Baby girl did you make it to your Hotel all
right?" Cheryl asked, Amy knew that she was worried about
her. "Yea Mom, I'm fine and I'm stopping for the
Night," Amy stated looking at the clock.
"Well, how far did you get?" Cheryl questioned, Amy
heard her walking around, the Wooden floors in the house always
gave it away, "I'm in Louisiana Mom, Its like Ten here"
Amy confirmed flicker a piece of Paper of the bed and watching it
drop to the floor. "That's good to hear Amy, are you sure
your going to be ok there" The Motherly side of Cheryl began
to ring in.
"I'll be fine Mom, I'm probably going to just stay here
until around Nine Tomorrow, So I should get to the Border by Nine
Tomorrow Night" Amy stated standing up and taking off her
shoes, "All right dear, well I will let you go, call me the
next time you stop" Cheryl stated, "Ok Mom" Amy
replied. "I love you" Amy smiled and waited, "I
love you to Amy" Cheryl replied.
Amy hung up and placed the phone of the Cradle. She walked over
to her Suitcase and took out a Pair of Mesh shorts and a Short
Sleeve T-shirt. She went into the bathroom and changed into the
clothes, bringing out the dirty clothes and throwing them back
into the suitcase.
She was tired tonight, She could barely keep her eyes open, maybe
it was because she had never traveled away from home by herself,
She did go to Europe with friends, but this was different this
time. This was all on Amy, if she screwed up or got lost it would
only be her fault.
The bed on the other hand, looked sad. It was twisted and faded
the pillows looks more like bags of concrete paint with Tan
paint. Amy signed and crawled inside the bed, the sheets were
stiff and cold, but at least it was a bed, and she would have to
get used to this.
"Night" She said, not to any one, just to herself. A
strange little habit she had, just a way to make her feel safe.
She never really had put any serious thought into it. She pulled
the covers up to her ears and reached over to turn the light off.
The lights clicked off and the room was dark, Amy was alone. The
room was pitch black and smelled of a million different people.
Amy sighed again and turned onto her side, she yawned again
before closing her eyes and soon falling asleep.
*The Next Mourning*
Amy awoke around Eight O'clock, People in the next room seemed to
be having an Argument, about what Amy wasn't sure. They were
screaming back and forth for quiet a Long time, it was getting
hard to stand anymore. She sat up in bed and fixed her sleeves
that had bunched up in her sleep.
She stood up and walked over to the Mirror, She stared at herself
making faces and running a hand through her hair. Turning back
she went to her Suitcase and grabbed a Pair of Light Blue jeans
and an Oversized Sweatshirt with the Logo of her Ex-Boyfriend's
high school.
The sweatshirt was about Four years old and starting to show
signs of Fading, but Amy didn't care it was comfortable and right
now all she needed was to feel comfortable. She threw the cloths
over her shoulder and walked into the Bathroom.
It was considerably small with a Walk in shower against the wall,
The Ceiling had a Water spot over the Shower, Amy guessed the
Ceiling was flooded but didn't second-guess it. She really didn't
care, there were more important things on her mind, and She
stepped into the Shower and turned the water on.
