Eleven Years
Later
A lot of things have happened, a lot of things have changed, over
the past Eleven years the Forged Bond Benji and Amy had, had
grown stronger with each passing day. They had watched Jagger
take a new light on things, He had stopped asking about his
father, Benji and Amy thought it better to just leave it be until
the time was right.
They sat together on the Porch of their home on the quiet Country
Side of North Carolina, The warm September sun filled the porch
with a Golden Tint, The Thirty-three year old Benji wrapped his
arm around his Thirty-six year old bride, The two had married
about Five years ago with the Ten Year Old Jagger was the Ring
Bearer. Benji leant to Amy, Her hair slowly begun to fade out of
the Bright Auburn Color it was and back into the simple shade of
Blonde, He kissed her cheek lightly moving towards her soft lips
as she turned her head in towards him.
Two pounding Foot steps on the Front Step of the Porch was enough
to break the kiss up, with a hint of Redness in her cheeks Amy
looked at her Fifteen year old son. He stood at Five Eight with
the same Jet Black hair he shared with the two man that long ago
had to fade into one. He had with him a Teenage Girl, her blonde
hair rode gently down past her shoulders, His hand was interlaced
with her holding her tightly as he faced his parents.
"Mom, Dad, This is Mel" Benji replied looking to his
Parent then to Mel, Benji sat hesitant, Jagger had begun to call
him Dad Seven Years ago but it still wasn't right to him, He
stood up walking towards the two Teenager extending his Hand to
Mel, She shook his hand and smiled, "Jagger told me about
the band you used to be in" Mel replied, "Oh did
he" Benji replied raising his eyebrow to Jagger who inturned
shook his head in agreement. "Mel's a Good Singer, Dad, If
we ever start the Band up again, Maybe she could join"
Jagger answered with a Begging look in his eyes.
"That's a good Idea" Amy interjected smiling to Mel.
"It is?" Benji asked running his hand through his hair,
"Yea it is" Amy replied standing up and wrapping her
arm around his waist, "So It will be just like it used to
be?" Jagger asked with a Hopeful look on his Face. Benji's
heart sunk deep into his chest, He swallowed hard and turned
towards Jagger, "No, No it won't be" He replied in a
forceful voice.
"What do you mean it won't be, You'll have your band back,
You'll be able to walk to the Street and sign Autographs again,
You can sing all the songs you wrote, It will be like it was
before you guys broke up" Jagger stated just as Forcefully
as Benji had, "We didn't break up, We stopped we had a Damn
Good reason to stop" Benji said, "Trent said you guys
broke up when I was Two years old" Jagger shot back,
"There was a Reason behind it," Benji replied,
"Then what was it" Jagger asked growing angry,
"Don't worry about it" Benji answered walking into the
house and shutting the door behind him.
Amy looked at Jagger with a Worried stare and then towards Mel,
"Maybe I should Go" Mel stated, walking backwards,
"I'll call you later" She called as she started down
the street. Jagger opened the door to go inside the house, Amy
quickly shut it and stared at her son, "I have to tell you
something" She replied quietly. "What?" He asked
at this point ready for anything, "Not yet, Later on I
promise" Amy said opening the door and watching as Jagger
stepped inside the house she shut the door and quickly ran up the
steps to the Room she and Benji shared.
He sat their with an old Black and Red Stratocastor Bass by his
side, Deryck's Guitar, He had begun to play it when he gave
Jagger his Guitar, "Benji" Amy said walking into the
room, He looked up, his blue eyes clouded Gray, "We have to
tell him" She replied stepping towards the bed and sitting
next to him, "I know" Benji replied moving the Guitar
further from them and laying down, "Whatever happens, its
not your fault" Amy replied as he shook his head.
Benji stood up and walked towards the Bedroom Door pushing it
open and stepping out into the Hallway, Visions flowed through
his mind of all the times when Jagger was younger that Benji
would sit in this Hallway and watching him crawl around, not
knowing of the world around him and only caring about what lay
next to him. Breathing deeply he turned to look over his shoulder
at his Wife of Eight Years so had slowly begun to follow him.
Benji stopped at the Pale Oak door putting his hand up to it and
waiting, he leant his head in to rest on the door as he awaited
Amy's touch on his arm.
