PART SIX OF "THE STUDENT AND THE TEACHER"

BRANDON
Andrea came backstage fuming, she punched a wall when she got to me. "I can't believe that jerk." Andrea yelled. "What happened?" I asked. "He did some stuff we never went over, he hardway punched me in the head, full contact, my head hurts like hell now." Andrea said grabbing her head, then punched the wall again. Stephanie then came over to us and took Andrea away.

My cell phone rang at that moment. "Hello." I said. It was Melissa "Hi Brandon, I hate to say this but I have a problem."

"What?" I asked

"The record company just called and we have to be in L.A. tomorrow to start on our next album." Melissa said.

"Oh, ok, but you are going to watch tonight right?" I asked

Melissa laughed and said "Of course" We said out goodbyes and hung up the phone.

Two hours later

"Booker T nails Ice with the axe kick." JR said "And now the most electrifying move in sports entertainment today, the spinaroonie." Paul Heyman yelled. "Wait a minute, Ice is up, Impaler DDT....cover....1-2-3. NEW CHAMPION." JR yelled.

"Your winner and new WCW Champion, Ice." The ring announcer said. Ice grabbed a ring camera, stared into it and said "Surprise". Ice grabbed the title and left the ring.

-------------------------------------------

I came to the back where Andrea and Amy were waiting for me, they both hugged me. "What was with yelling surprise into the camera?" Amy asked me. "My girl is watching and I told them I had a surprise, and this is what it was." I said as I held up the WCW Title.

Two days later -- Sacramento, CA

"Sensei, I have come." I said as I entered the room, Sheridan was already there, she was still in tears. Sensei grabbed both of our hands as I kneeled next to his bed. "You two....my finest students.....you have grown up before my eyes.....Melissa Sheridan.....you went from the small girl who got picked on.....to a strong woman who can stand on her own....Brandon Mars....you went from a small boy with a bad family.....to a well respected performer....I am proud of you both....." Sensei Hirosaki said as he interlocked our hands "....continue on your paths of goodness." He said, he then closed his eyes for the last time, the tears started flowing, our teacher was dead.

NICOLE
Two days later

I've never seen Brandon in tears before, the funeral for his martial arts teacher just ended and now we are on the bank of the Sacramento river for the 'floating candle' ceremony.

The Hardys, Amy, Dream, and the current students of the dojo, everybody was wearing black. We started with an elderly Japanese woman placing her candle in the river, she then broke down in tears, Sheridan and Eric helped her up. Brandon and Sheridan placed their candles in next, they said something in another language and got up. Jason and Eric Draco went next, they went over and hugged the Japanese woman. This continued until everyone had put their candles into the river, this reminded me of a scene in "The Karate Kid Part 2"

Brandon went over to Melissa and hugged her and said "Thank you". I think Melissa was in tears too, I could tell those two loved each other. We all then got into cars and went to downtown Sacramento to the dojo where we had a memorial service for the teacher, I learned that his name was Kaz Hirosaki.

There was joyous news from this, two of Brandon's friends Chris "Blackie" Larabee and Samantha Malone announced their engagement. Also, some not so good news, a fight broke out between Brandon and a green-belt named Christian Feldman. Christian was hitting on me when Brandon and Jeff came over, Jeff kissed me and Christian started to pick a fight with Jeff, but Brandon stepped in and fought Christian off, I guess it pays to be a second degree black belt, Christian left the dojo very angry, one of the dojo teachers followed him and I didn't see either one of them until after we left, I saw them yelling at each other outside the dojo.

One hour later

Dream caught a flight back to L.A., Brandon had the option to take the week off, but he refused, he would be there for Raw and Smackdown, and No Mercy was two weeks away. Speaking of No Mercy, Stephanie told me the Halloween show in Times Square was called off, my debut would be at No Mercy. Two weeks away, I can't wait.
