Start of the main event match
Dwayne and I stayed in our dressing rooms for most of the night, no on-camera appearances, no promos, no nothing. I now left my dressing room in my old black and blue outfit and wearing my new white latex trench-coat. When I reached the gorilla position, Andrea and Kyle were embracing, Staci and Michelle were talking to Debra, Stonecold's wife, Brooke, Charly, Casey and Nicole were talking to the Dudleys. I surveyed the scene and smiled, I was truly back. The Rock, Stonecold and Commissioner Regal came into the gorilla position, we all looked at each other and silently acknowledged that we were ready.

Stonecold and Commissioner Regal came out first to the boos of the crowd. The Rock then came out and the place exploded with cheers, then over the PA "Rise" by The Cult played and Ice and the new WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, Andrea came out and the crowd continued to cheer. Ice and The Rock met on the ramp, they looked at each other and bolted into the ring, Rock went after Stonecold and Ice went after Commissioner Regal.
The fight spilled outside leaving Ice and Regal in the ring to fight, Regal nailed repeated uppercuts to send Ice into the corner, Regal stomped Ice repeatedly. Rock and Austin went to their respective corners while Regal kept pounding on Ice, Andrea was cheering Ice on, the ref didn't see the low blow that Ice nailed on Regal giving him control. Ice dove toward his corner and tagged in The Rock, Andrea checked on Ice when he rolled onto the apron.

Backstage
The whole group of us were watching Brandon, Dwayne, Steve and William wrestle. "It must feel so good for them to be back in their element." Kyle said. "Andrea loves this business." I said, just then I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Casey, she whispered "Jeff Hardy" to me. I turned around and there was Jeff Hardy. "Nicole, can I talk to you alone." Jeff asked. "Sure" I said. Jeff and I walked over to a trainers room and turned on a monitor and saw The Rock fighting Commissioner Regal.
Jeff looked me square in the eyes and said "We need to talk." "I know" I said. We stayed in silence for a few minutes as The Rock tagged in Brandon. "About the kiss..." I started to say "I enjoyed it." Jeff interrupted. "What?" I said as Jeff ran his hand through his dark purple hair. "It bears an explanation, I know..." I looked behind Jeff on the monitor, Brandon and Stonecold were exchanging punches. "...I've been wanting to hook up with you since the first time I saw you back at the Royal Rumble." Jeff said bluntly.
"Why wait until now to try?" I asked as Brandon DDTed Stonecold. "I don't know it's just that..." Jeff never got past that point because I grabbed him and kissed him, he melted into it. I broke the kiss as Brandon pinned Stonecold and the post match brawl ensued. "C'mon" I said. Jeff and I re-appeared where our crowd had gathered, the guys would be back soon.
Casey saw me and asked "So what happened?" After she asked that, Jeff came up behind me and put his arm around my waist "We are official" I said as Stonecold and Commissioner Regal came through the curtain, our group along with everyone else applauded as they went to their dressing rooms. Brandon, Dwayne and Andrea then came through the curtain a minute later, Jeff hi-fived him and I hugged him. I then turned to Jeff and kissed him again, right in front of Brandon. "Well, the appropriate sparks are flying, someone cue the power ballad." Brandon said smiling, I looked over at Andrea, her and Kyle were kissing. It was official Jeff Hardy and I were dating.
