PART ELEVEN OF "SUPERWOMAN"

Untitled Normal Page

Jeff went straight to bed as soon as we got to the hotel...after he prayed. He never forgot to pray no matter how stressful his day was. He always prayed for Mr. Hardy, Matt, his family, friends and his fans. I guess that's what inspired him to write that poem, "If They Remember." I had to agree with Jeff on one thing. Prayer really does pay off in the end because it got me where I am today. It also brought my relationship with Matt so far. I had to be very thankful for that because he has truly helped me get through some tough times in my life. Matt and I got to be alone for awhile so we decided to talk. Funny, we both had our belts around our waists now. Jeff was sleeping with in his belt in his hands. I climbed into Matt's arms. The television was off. It was just me and Matt.

"Are your ribs feeling better?" I asked.

"No. They hurt like hell. Don't worry about me though."

"Oh, I'm gonna worry when you're in that match tomorrow."

"Anyways, what's been up with you lately?" Matt asked.

"Nothing much, baby. I'm just so proud of you. You are one half of the best tag team in the world." I said as I looked up and smiled at him.

"You always know what to say to make me feel better."

Matt smiled and nimbled on my neck. The feeling made me giggle. He started to tickle me.

"Stop it! We're gonna wake up Jeff! Stop!"

"You're so cute when you smile."

"Well, you make me smile, Matt."

Matt pulled me closer to him as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"You know, I was wondering...how long are we gonna keep our relationship a secret from the fans?"

"I was thinking the same thing too. We're gonna have to tell them someday. I hate it when I have these interviews and they ask me if I'm dating you or Jeff. I hate lying to people that look up to us, you know."

"Well, technically, you aren't lying because Lita isn't dating anybody but Amy is."

"You are so evil...but that's what I like about you. Still, I don't like lying to the fans."

"I agree but I don't like to call them fans. I prefer to call them our friends because they're the only ones that make this wrestling shit worth while."

"I know right. When we go out there, look out through the crowd and see our these little kids' faces light up and smile like we're super heroes, that really makes me good 'cause I'm just a normal person who's in the WWF."

"A normal person who's the best female wrestler in the world." Matt said as he pointed to my belt.

"Yeah right. I'm not too solid of a wrestler yet. I couldn't survive in Japan. God could only help me if I was in the ring with those bitches. You know that but the best competition here for me is Jacqueline. She's so under rated. Hopefully, I'll get in the ring with Nora soon."

"Don't worry. You'll get to wrestle technically soon enough. You just gotta be in the right angle. You've gotta be thankful to have that Women's Championship though."

"Oh, I am. Trust me, I am."

"You're unlike any woman here. Mr. McMahon has given you the oppotunity to let your true character show. That has never been the case when any other female here. That's why so many girls say you inspire them. There's no doubt in my mind that you can be as good as Moolah once was. Just get out there and do your thing. Now, Moolah was one tough bitch. She was the female Chris Benoit. She knew every technical move in the book. She had that belt you have now for about twenty years straight."

"I know, man. She is so cool."

"But we'll tell the fans someday. There are some people out there who don't care who we're dating."

"Yeah, you're right. What are we gonna name our children?"

"Children?"

"Yeah, one of these days, you're gonna forget to use a condom."

"Ha. Ha. I don't know. What names did you have in mind?"

"Lindsey...Dainelle...Brittany...Melanie...Brandy..."

"What makes you so sure it's gonna be a girl?"

"I don't know. I just would rather have a girl than a boy. What did you have in mind, sweetie?"

"Uh...what about Ryan...Jason...Brandon...Michael..."

"I like Brandon." I replied.

"I like Lindsey."

"Fine, then it's settled. We never have time to talk like this that much."

"Nope. Never. Remember when you were in ECW and we would talk on the phone for hours."

"Yeah, I missed you so much back then. I'm glad Rob took me to the Funking Conservatory because I wouldn't be here with you today if that hadn't happened." I said as I kissed him on the cheek.

"You go to bed now. You need all the rest you can get for this ladder match tomorrow."

"Wrestling, wrestling, wrestling...good night, baby." Matt said as he sighed and took his shirt off.

"Good night. Love you."

"Love you too."

We gave each other and good night kiss and I turned off the lamp that lit the room.

**********

Adam, Jason, Jeff, Matt and me were in the hall of the arena trying to think of a way to end the match later on tonight. That's how things worked in the WWF. They had the matches written on a board, a piece of paper or Stephanie would announce them and you were told who would win. Then, it was up to wrestlers in the match to figure out the rest.

"Okay, we already know that Amy will interfere and that Jason will stop her. Maybe, she can get up in the end and do something right when we're about to grab the belts or something." Adam said.

"Wait a minute. Let's try this. You do that Spear from the ladder on me while I'm hanging from the top. In the end, me and Amy get up right when you're about to hit Matt with a chair. Then, we push you off the ladder." Jeff said.

"Yeah, that'll be cool. It'll be three ladders set up. Matt's in the middle, you and Jason are on the other two. Matt will be disoriented. Y'all are gonna that Kachairtome thing but me and Jeff push the ladders so you guys will fall. Matt grabs the belts, acknowledges the fans, J.R. screams his ass off, we leave." I said.

"Cool. It's settled. We'll holler at you later, Amy." Jason said.

"Alright. See y'all out there."

********

I stood behind the curtain as I waited for my cue. The production people wouldn't let me watch the match since I missed my cue last night. They knew I would cry. Apparently, Matt must have been bleeding again. I was so worried about his ribs. I saw a side of him no one else saw. I knew what scared him. I've seen Matt cry. He's a tough dude but he was just everybody else.

"You're on, Lita!" Mr. McMahon yelled.

I grabbed the chair and ran through the curtain to the ring. The fans cheered. It was hot as hell out here. I crawled into the ring and hit Adam from behind with the chair. He fell from the ladder. I tried to hit Jason but he did his move (that didn't hurt at all) and I fell to the ground. Now, I was supposed to fake an injury and lay here for about five minutes. I smiled to myself. Welcome to the wonderful world of wrestling.

**THE NEXT DAY**

Matt and I walked into the arena hand in hand. Today was the SmackDown tapings. I hoped he didn't have a match tonight since his ribs were still sore as hell after that awesome ladder match last night. I was carrying all of his stuff. Ever since last night, I wouldn't let him life a finget. I didn't even let him carry his belt. He couldn't blame me because I was his girlfriend. I noticed that Matt had been feeling on my butt very smoothly ever since we had gotten out of the car.

"Why are your jeans so tight?" He asked.

"You say that but you've been feelin' on my booty very smoothly." I replied.

"What's wrong with me feelin' on my girl's ass?"

"Nothing. I don't have a problem with it at all. What's the problem with me wearing tight jeans?"

"Nothin'. I definitely don't have a problem with that. You barely dress like a girl though. That's what I'm sayin'." Matt laughed.

"Ha. Ha. I do dress like a girl...just not often." I admitted.

How I dressed was a reflection of me. I just simply preferred wearing comfortable clothes over impressing guys. I already had a man so what's the point in impressing other dudes? I'm in love with Matt and no one else. The only time I wore clothes like this was when I wanted to make Matt happy. I had on a top that said "Filrt" and since he loved to look at my butt so I figured I would do him a favor when I woke up this morning. We walked in the room where everyone was supposed to report to when they arrived. This was the time when the card for the evening was announced. As soon as I heard my match, I left. I guess everybody was waiting on us because they got quiet when we walked in. Stephanie emerged from the crowd. I looked up to her in a way. She truly was a strong female. She played Stephanie McMahon-Hemsley, she wrote the storylines and sometimes, she booked the cards for the evening. I had to give Stephanie mad props on that. She was such a sweethart and a pretty damn good wrestler for a beginner

"Now, that Mr and Mrs. Hardy have arrived..." Stephanie said as she got up from her seat.

"Here's the card for this evening...Amy, you will be taking on Jacqueline with your belt on the line. You will win this match. Jason and Adam, you'll accompany Jackie to the ring. Matt and Jeff, you'll accompany Amy to the ring. Now, get out." Stephanie said.

I laughed. Stephanie and I always messed around with each other like that. I leaned against the wall as I waited for Jackie to come out.

"Hey, Amy!" Jacqueline said as she stepped out the room.

"Hey, girl."

I gave her a hug. As Jason and Adam walked out, I told them to take Matt's stuff to the men's locker room. I gave Matt his belt back.

"Thanks, baby. I appreciate it."

"I know you do." I said as I walked off with Jackie.

He was about to leave with those Canadian blondes but he leaned back with his lips out like he wanted a kiss. We gave each other a peck on the lips.

"Y'all are adorable." Jackie said.

"Yeah, that's my boyfriend. I love him to death."

"I'm glad you're the Women's Champion though 'cause if you weren't, me and Ivory would still be sitting back here in the locker room without nothing to do."

I looked at my belt and smiled.

"I know how you feel, girl. I used to be there myself when I was with Papi but you just gotta hold on, you'll get more television time soon."

"So how are we gonna do this match tonight?" She asked.

We sat down on these boxes in the dim-lit hallway.

"Let's do something different. I don't wanna win with just the Moonsault again."

"No, girl. You really do win when you do that move 'cause that shit hurts."

"Really? Well, I was thinking that I hit the Moonsault on you but the referee is distracted." I said.

"Okay...the ref will be distracted with Jason, Matt and Jeff. Then, while you have me pinned, Adam will do some kind of move on you." Jacqueline said.

"From there, you beat me up a little but I counter one of your moves and win." I replied.

"Cool. I'll get that belt someday though. Don't you worry."

"Not mine, sweethart. I love it too much." I said as I smiled big and hugged my belt.

"Come on, girl, let's go." She laughed as we left the hallway to go get dressed.

**THE NEXT DAY**

I was vaccuming my carpet when my phone rang. I had on a blue bandanna, blue sweat pants and a white t-shirt on. I turned off the vaccum and answered it.

"Hello."

"What's up, sis?"

"Hey, little brother! I haven't talked to you in a hot minute. Where you been, man?" I said as I sat down on my couch.

I hadn't talked to my brother in quite awhile.

"Been workin', girl. Gotta pay these expensive bills. How you doing?"

"Just fine, bro. I had a match last night."

"Oh, for real?"

"Yeah. I took on Jacqueline."

"Oh yeah, that's right. I keep forgetting my big sister is the World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion."

"That's right and don't you forget it. The belt is somewhere in here. I think it's in the refrigator. You know, when I get home, I start cleaning and I find shit I ain't seen in years so that's when the apartment gets dirty as I'm cleaning."

"The refrigator?"

"Yeah, man. I'm tired when I get home and I just drop everything."

"Oh, I know. Mom used to yell at you about that all the time."

"I know right. She hated when my room was dirty."

"Who's over there?"

"Uh, Matt's in the bedroom sleeping...again. That's it."

"I saw that ladder match on Monday. That was one of the best matches I have ever seen in my life. They make a lot of sacrifices to entertain these people."

"Tell me about it, bro. That's why I look up to them so much."

"You know, I like your character's name better than Amy."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, girl. Lita is a pretty name."

"I'll never get used to that. I always talk like she's another person."

"Yeah. Mom is sick, Amy. She caught a cold. That's why I was calling."

"Oh, no. I'll have to call her later."

"Don't call. She's knocked out. I just gave her some medicene and it put her out."

"Well, I guess it's best for her to sleep. Tell her I love her when she gets up."

"I sure will. Let me holler at you later, Amy. I gotta run."

"Alright, bro. I love you."

"You too, sis. Take care."

I hung up the phone. As I was about to turn on the vaccum, Matt called me.

"What is it, sweethart?" I walked into the bedroom.

Matt was on the computer. He turned around and looked at me.

"Do you know how many girls look up to you? You've got as many sites as me and Jeff do."

"For real?"

"Yeah."

I walked over to him and sat on his lap. He put his arm around my waist and showed me these sites dedicated to me.

"Awwww. This is adorable. I'm a role model." I said as I pointed to the screen.

"Yeah...and you're beautiful too."

I smiled, kissed him and walked out the room.

"Is Joann still re-designing your site?" Matt asked.

"I guess so. She left a message on the answering machine."

I turned back on the vaccum and tried to clean once again. As I was, I thought about the people that look up to me. I found that very flattering and hard to believe. Everything is so unbelieveable when you're in the WWF. Hell, I represented the females of the WWF since I was the champion. I got a lot of praise from that article on me in the September Issue of RAW Magazine. I was a little inspired myself when I read my own story. I can remember my first time in the ring. Man, those were the good ol' days. When I reminisce on the past, it is truly amazing to see where I am today. I was blessed to meet so many people who believed in my talent and my dedication to become a wrestler. To go from a wrestling fan to a wrestler is a huge transformation. To go from a wrestler to the WWF Women's Champion is a huge transformation. To go from being a tomboy who once believe all boys had cooties to having a sweet, caring, considerate, respectful, funny, kind, loving boyfriend was still a little humorous to me. Wow! I go with a Hardy Boy! When I think about the future, I wonder where I'll be in ten years. I wonder if I'll be wrestling men. I wonder if I'll start a training school. I wonder if I'll have Matt's children. I wonder if Jeff will still be alive. I don't know where I'm going with this but I guess, it's the fact that I love the opportunity I've been given. I'm quite sure my popularity will continue to grow. I love the fact that I'll gain more fans in the future. I look forward to the future because God knows I can take on men but I don't like to admit it. Who knows where I'll be? My character, Lita, could turn on the boyz. Lita could join forces with the Big Bossman! The possibilities are endless. It really doesn't matter to me where I'll be as long as I still have God, my family, my friends, my man and my wonderful supportive fans.

The End.
