The breeze blew
through my hair. The sun tried to blind my eyes but my sunglasses
protected me. I sighed. I had a lot on my mind. As I driving back
home, everything seemed to flood my mind. I was thinking about
everybody at Extreme Championship Wrestling now. I knew other
federations had some backstage heat but at ECW, we were all a
family. I was gonna miss each and every one of them like crazy. I
planned to keep in touch. Hopefully, the fans won't be too sad
about my departure. I didn't think they would be that much hurt
by it anyway from the things they chanted towards me during Danny
and Roadkill's matches. I had my last autograph signing as Miss.
Congeality tomorrow in South Carolina. I was a very emotional
girl. I knew I would cry tomorrow. I hope that the WWF is just
like ECW as far as a family atmosphere is concerned. My cell
phone rang. I picked it up.
"Hello...oh, hey, Shannon."
"What's up, Amy?"
"Nothing much, man. Just thinking. I saw you on Nitro the
other night. You did good."
"Thanks, you're doing pretty good yourself...future WWF
Superstar. Congratulations."
I laughed. Shannon Moore was a pretty cool guy. Of course, Matt
introduced me to him. We all wrestled together in OMEGA. Now
those were the good old days...when I didn't know shit about
wrestling.
"Thanks, Shannon. So what's going on?"
"Oh, nothing. You know that my boy wanna get with you."
"Excuse me?" I laughed.
"My boy wanna get with you."
"What boy are you talking about?"
"Stop playin', Amy. I know he told you." Shannon said.
"Who told me what?"
"Matt, girl!"
"Ooooooooooooh, yeah, Matthew. To answer your question, no,
he didn't tell me. Jeff did." I replied.
"So why ain't y'all hook up yet?"
"Why are you so concerned about my love life, Shannon? Matt
told you to call me, didn't he?"
"...Alright, alright, he told me to call but you didn't hear
it from me."
I rolled my eyes and concentrated back on the road.
"What do you want, man?" I asked.
"I want you and Matt to hook up. Y'all would make an awesome
couple. I think he would make you complete."
"Make me complete?"
"Yeah. He really likes you, Amy. Give him a chance. You know
Matt, he ain't gonna use for sex like most dudes do."
"Hell, yeah. That's happened to me plenty of times."
"So what do you say?"
"Shannon, I'm not saying a word until Matt can tell me he
likes me for himself. Y'all can believe whatever y'all want but
until I hear it straight from him, I'm not gonna pay any
attention to what y'all say."
"Okay. Sorry, Amy. I'm 'bout to go to my mama's house
anyway."
"Well, you tell her I said hello. Bye, Shannon." I hung
up on him.
Matt was starting to p*ss me off. Why couldn't he tell me for
himself? Him telling his friends to say he likes me was so
immature and so middle school-like. Sending messages definitely
did not impress me much. If he wanted to get with me as bad as
Shannon and Skittles have told me, he had better stop. I shrugged
and turned up my Incubus CD. She could help get my mind off some
things.

Tomorrow was gonna be one of the most memorable days in my life.
This was actually the first time I was looking forward to a
Wednesday. I had already got my outfit picked out. I went out and
I bought this suit...I've never worn a damn suit in my life. I
had been in Connecticut for about two days now. Matt was here
with me. I hadn't seen him all day though. I decided to go to a
club tonight. I just wanted to dance all night long. So I had on
all leather and just put on some lipstick to match with my hair.
I looked in the mirror one last time and made sure I looked good.
I grabbed my purse, reached deep down into it, pulled out a
condom and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Will I need this........nah." I tossed it back into my
purse and I was out the door.
Matt had rented us a car. He wanted me to drive so I started the
car up, put Limp Bizkit in the CD Player and turned it to
"Faith". I had to get hype. Fred started singing and I
was gone.

I was laying against the wall, checking out the scenery. All I
could see was everybody trying to get with me but I continued to
keep it cool. I saw somebody familiar. It looked like Matt. I
squinted my eyes, it was Matt. Damn, he looked good...very good.
He had on one of those shirts that The Rock wore all the time and
some black pants. He had his hair the way I loved it, in a
ponytail. I lost all my composure, I was just staring at him as
if he was Christian Slater. (Now, that white boy could act.) I
blinked out of my trance and looked at my watch. The club was
gonna close in about thirty-five minutes so I guess Matt wanted
to say a few words to me. I was watching him watching me and I
knew he wanted me. I was waiting for a dose of his personality. I
was in the mood and if he said the right words, maybe Matt might
come home with me tonight but it all depended on how he kicked
his game. He was coming my way.
"Hey, girl. I didn't know you knew about this place."
Matt said.
"Yeah, I heard about it. What are you doing here?" I
asked.
"To tell you the truth, I'm really bored right now. I'm
ready to leave."
"Yeah, I think I got here a little late. I need to sleep
anyway since I gotta meet Jim Ross tomorrow!" I smiled.
"I know you're excited. You want me to roll with you?"
"You can if you want. I don't care."
We were just talking. It was just a smiple conversation. He
wasn't filrting with me at all. I sighed, he was starting to
waste my time.
"Amy...I need to talk to you...alone. Somewhere other than
here."
"About what?" I asked even though I knew what he was
talking about.
"Come on." Matt said as he took my hand.

I didn't know where Matt was taking me. Then, I looked to my
right and rolled my eyes.
"Cracker Barrell? Again?"
"Come on, Amy. I really need to talk to you about something.
This food will help."
I sucked my teeth and sighed. He pulled into the parking lot.
Matt opened the door for me to my surprise. He was being a
gentleman. He was trying to impress me. It was working too. The
waiter took us to this booth where no one was really around. We
sat down, Matt looked like he had a lot on his mind.
"So what did you wanna talk about?" I asked.
"I think you know. Don't you?" Matt said.
"You tell me." I replied.
I was trying to bring it out of him. I thought his shyness was
adorable. Still, he wasn't gonna get no sympathy from me. He
sighed.
"Your friends say you're so into me and that you need me
desperately. They say you say we're so complete but I need to
hear it straight from you if you want me to believe it's true.
Just let me hear you say those words. Until you do, your body
language and anything your friends say isn't gonna be enough.
You-"
"I want you to be my girlfriend, Amy." Matt interrupted
me.
I smiled at him.
"Now why couldn't you tell me that yourself? It wasn't that
hard, was it?" I said as I crossed my legs and got
comfortable.
"I don't know. I was afraid of what you would say since
we've been friends for so long."
"Don't be afraid of me, Matt. You don't have a reason to
be."
"So what do you say?"
"Let me think about it and don't bug me about taking too
long to answer your question either, okay?"
"Alright." Matt replied.
Matt just sat there for a minute.
"Are you gonna buy me dinner or what?!"
