Twisted Fan Fiction

PART TWO OF "SUPERWOMAN"

Untitled Normal Page

The Angelica character turned out to be okay. The guys seemed to dig me. I never got to wrestle as much as I wanted to. I wanted to be more than just a valet. That is because I knew there was more to me than just the stand-there-and-look-good approach. Don't get me wrong. ECW was awesome. I was very thankful for this opportunity since it's been such a long road here. It wasn't as big as the WWF but backstage we were all like a family. I just wanted to showcase my wrestling ability more so the writers gave me a whole make over. My new name was Miss. Congeality. It was pretty cool but I was just another female face as far as the fans were concerned. Still, in the back of my mind, ECW was not my final goal. I wasn't happy with my role in the company.

**********

I sat in the car with my hands on my laps humming to the song on th radio. Rob still didn't say where he was taking me. I remember at my first ECW show, I asked him for advice. I was a little scared to approach him since Rob Van Dam was such a popular guy in ECW but he turned out to be pretty cool. Dawn Marie and I were like sisters behind the scenes. We had so much in common and we talked about everything whenever I wasn't accomapnying Danny Doring to the ring. The only thing I knew was that Rob wanted me to meet somebody. He finally pulled up to this small place called The Funking Conservatory. I looked at Rob with a weird look on my face.

"What the hell is this?" I asked.

"Shut up and just come in." He said as he got out the car.

I rolled my eyes and followed him. There were some other cars here too. We walked in the place and it was much more bigger inside. There were this dim lights shinning down from the ceiling and there was tons of weight-lifting stuff that seemed endless until I saw the wrestling ring in the middle of the whole building. I could see a little office area in the corner of the building. There were a lot of dudes standing around the ring in sweat pants and t-shirts watching these these two guys wrestling with some woman observing them closely in the ring. Some of the others were working out. Somebody emerged from the crowd. It was Jeff! I ran up to him and gave him a big hug.

"What are you doing here, girl?!"

"What are you doing here?!"

"Matt and me are here trainin', we haven't heard from you in awhile."

"I know. I'm a busy bee these days."

"I can tell. Oh, hey, Rob." Jeff shook hands with him.

"What's up? I brought Amy here to meet Dory. He's expecting me." Rob explained.

"Cool, he's in the office."

"Where's Matt?" I asked.

"Oh, he's in the ring there with Mrs. Funk."

"Hold up...do you mean Funk as in...Terry Funk?" I asked again.

"Duh. Dory Funk is Terry's brother. That lady in the ring is Dory's wife. I brought you here since you said you're not happy with ECW so I figured you could use more wrestling training rather than just wasting your time some place else."

"Oh, my god. We'll be right back, Jeff. I didn't know you were still training! Tell Matt I said hey."

We walked to the office all the way on the other side of the building. Dory Funk was on the phone, he looked up and smiled.

"Look, we'll discuss this some other time. I have an appointment." He said as he smiled at Rob.

"What's up, Dory?!" Rob said as he gave him a hug.

"How you doing? I haven't seen you in a long time. It's good to see you. I love to hear from my old students. I love to see them succeed too. So what did you want me to meet?"

"This young lady right here. Dory, this is Amy. Amy, this is Dory." He introduced us.

I shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you." I said.

"The pleasure is mine. I know who you are. I've watched you on television. Rob tells me you're not just another face."

"No, I'm not. I want to be a wrestler...no, I'm going to be a wrestler. That's why I'm not happy with ECW. There's more to me than just being a valet." I said.

"I like that. Tell me about yourself." He said as he leaned against the wall.

"Well, I've been doing this for about a year now. I started in Mexico as a manager for Val Venis. From there, I had to leave since I ran out of money but I came back and learned how to take bumps. I also learned some of the basics. From there, I went to the Steel Domain in Chicago to train there for about a week. That's when I started working on the Indy scene. I met Matt and Jeff Hardy while was in the NWA. I guess they admired something in me and invited me to train with them in their wrestling organization on Sundays. That's about it, basically."

"That's very rare these days."

"What is?"

"So much dedication, effort, hard work and sacrifice from a female to become...a wrestler. That's very rare these days in this business. I admire that about you, Amy, but you're in ECW so why aren't you happy?"

"Because I didn't spend all this time just to end up accompanying somebody to the ring who I can probably beat myself. I want to get in the ring and Paul won't let me. I guess I was so excited about being in his company that I overlooked the fact that he just wanted me to be a valet. I can't be happy like this. It's not my final goal. When I get my mind set on doing something, nothing can stop me." I replied.

"Oh, yes. I really like you. I'll take her, Rob. I like her determination. It's gonna pay off for her in the future."

"What do you mean...you'll take me?"

"You're gonna train with Dory, Amy. He's just right for you. Trust me, I know. You can learn more technical stuff here."

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, girl. That's why I brought you here."

"Awwww, thanks, man." I gave Rob a hug.

"No problem."

"Let's get one thing straight though. I don't care if there's nothing but guys here. I don't want you to treat me any differently. Understand?" I said to Dory.

"Perfectly." He replied.

***********

Many weeks had past from when I first left North Carolina. I had saved enough money to move out of Jeff's place into my own place. During this time, I had spoken to Matt plenty of times about the way he had been acting around me. He simply responded by saying it was something I would find out about in the future. I wasn't really surprised by what Matt said because if I've learned one thing about Matt & Jeff, it's that they're weird as hell. They were doing pretty well in the WWF. I liked the story line they were in with Gangrel. It was pretty cool to see them as heels. I was looking real forward to the Ladder Match at No Mercy. I decided to call the boyz and wish them luck. I dialed the number.

"Hello."

"Hey, Mr. Hardy. This is Amy."

"Oh, hi, Amy. How are you doin'?"

"I'm doing great and what about you?"

"Pretty good. You wanna talk to Matthew and Jeffrey?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to wish them luck in their Ladder Match."

"They're in the backyard praticin' now with Adam and Jason. I started to watch but I had to turn away 'cause...it's just gonna be crazy. You're gonna like it. I remember watchin' you from the kitchen trainin' with the boyz. You've made me proud too, Amy."

"Well, thank you very much for that, Mr. Hardy. I really appreciate it but I owe it all to you for raising them the way you did. They're good people and helped me when no one else would."

"Yeah, well, thank you too, Amy. Hold on, let me go get 'em."

Mr. Hardy was soooooooo sweet. He brought Matt and Jeff hard. It paid off. I'm glad that I made him proud. I have come a long way from their backyard. That's something I'll always reflect on.

"Hello."

Matt was out of breath.

"Dang, you sound terrible, man. You working out that hard?"

"Yeah, girl. We gotta be ready.''

"I just wanted to wish y'all luck."

"Well, thanks, Amy. Oh yeah, I gotta surprise for you."

"You do? What is it?"

"Can't tell you. You'll find out from someone else."

"Oh, okay. Don't hurt yourself on Sunday but then again, try to have some fun and tell Jeff not to kill himself."

"I know right. You know he's gonna want to steal the show."

"Put him on the phone real quick."

"Hello."

"What's up, man?"

"What's up, girl? How are you?"

"Just worrying about you in that Ladder Match."

"Awwwwwwwww. Don't worry about me. Guess what?"

"What?"

"I got a girlfriend."

"Get out of here!"

"I'm ain't lyin'. Her name is Beth. Y'all need to meet each other."

"For real...the playa has got a girlfriend. Are you serious about this girl?"

"Yeah. I need to tell you about how we hooked up. It's very romantic. She likes me for me."

"Well, tell me later. You need to worry about your match and Jeff...don't fuck her too much. We know how much you love to fuck girls."

"Whatever." Jeff laughed.

"I gotta get ready for this house show. I'll call y'all later."

"Alright, bye."

"Bye."

I hung up and called Time Warner Cable to order the Pay Per View. I wondered what Matt was talking about when he said he had a surprise for me. The possibilities were endless.

**********

My eyes were glued to the screen.  I couldn't believe the shit that they were doing.  These were some crazy ass moves!  They were so cool though!  I could tell that Matt and Jeff were gonna be WWF Superstars and not just WWF Wrestlers when this match was over.  I really wanted the boyz to win since I really liked Terri.  She really added something special to a show and she would make a great valet for them.  I begged them to tell me who would win since they already knew but they wouldn't say a word.  I quickly glanced at my VCR to make sure it was recording.  Matt demmanded that I record this match since he's got all of their matches on tape.

"Oh, shit!" I yelled as Jeff did that See Saw move.

God bless his heart.  I know he was having the time of his life.  I knew Jeff was gonna do something to steal the show.  That's one of things I've learned about Jeff.  He's a prima donna.  He craves attention and hell, he gets it since because of his wrestling style and since he looks so damn good.  While I was watching, I tried to think of the surprise that Matt was talking about.  I knew it had to something good since Matt loved to help people out and that is something that Jeff and Matt Hardy have truly done for me.

    **Later**

I sighed and fell back on my couch.  I ran my fingers through my hair.  That match was UNBELIEVEABLE, one of the best I've ever seen.  Thank God they didn't get hurt.  The best part of it all was that they won! After No Mercy went off, my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Amy." Matt said all out of breath.

"Oh, my god!  You okay?"

"Could be better but I'm straight."

"How's Jeff?"

''His back is hurtin' a lil' bit."

"I know it must be from that bump he took getting that bag of money.  Tell him I said good job."

"I will.  You know why I called you, right?"

"Nope."

"The surprise, Amy!"

"Oh, I forgot.  What is it?"

"You're not gonna believe this."

"What?  What?  Tell me, come on, man!"

"Alright.  The Funks had put together a video of you of the wrestling that you did at the school and they sent it to the WWF Talent Relations."

"What...are...you...saying?"

"Well, they think you have determination and talent. They're gonna contact you tomorrow, I think."

"Get to the point, man! Does he wanna sign me or what?"

"HE WANTS TO SIGN YOU!  HE WANTS YOU IN THE WWF!  THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYIN'!"

I dropped the phone and started breathing hard.  I put my hand on my forehaead and started smiling.  Then, I couldn't hold it in no more.  I screamed so loud that even Mariah Carey couldn't come close to me.  I kept screaming, jumping up and down.  The joy was over flowing.  I grabbed the phone.

"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS, MATT!  ARE YOU FOR REAL?!"

"Yeah, girl!  That's the surprise!"

"OH, MY GOD!"

The screams turned into tears after awhile.  I had finally made it and who did I owe it to, the Hardy Boyz.  I cried harder and harder.

"Matt, why are y'all so good to me?  Oh, god...I love y'all so much." I sobbed.

I couldn't believe this.  Talent Relations wanted me in the World Wrestling Federation.  Opportunities like this happen once in a lifetime.

"Don't cry, Amy."

"It's been such a long road to get where I am today, Matt.  Where I would be without you and Jeff...still learning how to be a teacher.  Oh, god...you're gonna have to call me later.  I really feel like crying.  I'm so happy." I sobbed.

"We're proud of you, girl.  I'll call you later."

"Alright."

"Oh, yeah, I got one more surprise for you but I can't tell you right now."

"Please don't 'cause I might run out of tears, man.  Bye, Matt."

"Bye, Amy."

I hung up the phone and sobbed onto my pillow.  My goal in life had finally been accomplished.  I was gonna be a WWF Superstar.
