"I’m sorry about your plans." Melissa said, we were supposed to have a romantic date the night before, but she missed her flight. "Let’s just reschedule, we can do it on Wednesday." I said as I wrapped my arm around her and she rested her head on my shoulder.
Stephanie poked her head into my dressing room and said "It’s starting." Ashley turned on the monitor, it was only the pre-show starting. "It’s also time for your promo." Stephanie said.
"Can the girls be in it?" I asked.
"Yeah sure." Stephanie replied.
The girls and I went outside of the arena, and after a few minutes a producer gave us our cue to come inside.
Ice burst into the arena surrounded by girls, he was stopped by Michael Cole.
"Ice, in a matter of hours you, RVD, and Stone Cold Steve Austin will be inside of a fifteen foot high steel cage and the WWF Title is on the line, what are your thoughts?" Michael Cole said as Ice put his arm around Melissa.
"My thoughts, I think Austin is the dumbest person alive for demanding this match. He did just what I wanted him to do, when I lured him into that cage a couple weeks ago. I set him up, I wanted this match…" Ice said as he looked Melissa in the eyes. "…Austin has never beaten me yet, and tonight will be no exception. I’ll walk into that cage, pound on him and RVD and walk out WWF Champion." Ice looked straight at the camera "Austin, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, what?" Ice and Dream walked away.
The girls and I walked back to my dressing room and I plopped into a chair and waited for the pre-show to finish. I pulled Melissa into my lap and kissed her. "Who’s up first?" Diana asked. I pointed to the screen and saw Matt, Jeff and Amy come to the ring. "Nicole is debuting already?" Diana asked.
"I guess…" I said "…let’s go see how she’s doing." I said as we left the room. When we got to the ‘gorilla’ position Nicole was pacing nervously, just like I was a year ago at this time.
NICOLE
"Nicole…" I looked up and saw Brandon. I’m guessing he can tell how nervous I am, I’m seconds away from my debut and I’m scared to death. "…you ok?" Brandon asked.
"No I’m not, in a few minutes I go out there in front of millions of people and…and UGH!" I said. Brandon came up to me and grabbed me and stared straight into my eyes.
"Nicole, you’ve waited for 10 months for this, you have done this before, this is no different, you go out there and kick ass." I saw Matt hit the ‘Twist Of Fate’ on D-von, that was my cue.
"Go" Brandon said, I turned and ran out there.
Matt Hardy climbed to the middle rope and attempted a leg drop when, out of nowhere a mysterious woman climbed on the apron and shoved him off. Lita gave chase to the woman, but Bubba Ray Dudley stopped her. Neither him nor the woman saw Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb on D-Von and cover 1-2-3. Staci Keibler was screaming as the announcement was made.
"Your winners and new WWF Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz." D-Von and Bubba Ray are both yelling "What are you doing here?" to the woman, who just smiles and turns away.
Staci is stunned, she doesn’t know what to do. "Why is my sister here?" Bubba Ray asks D-Von in front of the camera. All four of them then head to the back.
I jumped into Jeff’s arms as soon as I got backstage and kissed him. "See, now that wasn’t so bad was it?" Jeff asked.
I punched him in the arm. Dream and Brandon was there, so were Brooke and Casey, hugs were exchanged.
"Welcome to the WWF, Nicole Gussin" Casey said as she hugged me.
"Thanks" I said.
"It’s far from over too." Brandon said to Andrea. The Dudleys then walked by. D-Von said.
"Congrats Nicole, you did one hell of a job."
"Thanks Devon." I replied as Brooke and Casey hugged me
"You’re a big star now girl." Brooke said.
"And just think…" Diana said "… the night is just beginning."
I left to find Jeff, he, Matt and Amy went to their dressing room. "Hey girl" Amy said as I walked in.
"Thanks for the Tag Belts Nicole." Matt yelled from the shower.
Amy and I smiled
at each other as she put her arm around me and said "Welcome
to the show."
