He sat nervously
on the Curb outside the Hospital, His hands trembling with a
Mixture of nervousness and cold, The air was no more then
Twenty-five Degrees, and he was clad in nothing more then a
Sweatshirt and a pair of long Gray Dickies shorts.
For the most part he was in a rush to get down here, the love of
his Life was laying Motionless inside that very Hospital, but he
couldn't find the Strength to actually walk inside the hospital
and sit in the waiting room with his brother, He had always hated
Hospitals, since he could remember he used to beg his Father not
to make him go, Maybe that was because he spent almost an entire
month going there everyday and watching his poor Mother
deteriorate into nothing.
Shivering he coughed and covered his mouth with his now almost
white hands, He looked to his left where a man who looked no
older then he was sitting in a Wheel Chair, Various tubes running
in and out of him, Something about him struck a nerve inside him.
The man in the wheel chair notice he was staring at him and he
pushed his way over towards him.
"Hey, look you awfully formilar." He replied starring
at the Multicolored Haired Jeff Hardy who looked into the eyes of
the man but still found no memory of him, "The name is Jeff
Hardy" Jeff replied smiling to the man, "Jamaal
Fontini" He replied smiling back to Jeff, "Your a Hardy
Boy aren't you?" He asked, "Yea, Yea I am" Jeff
replied. "If you don't mind me asking what are you doing
here?" Jamaal asked pushing the breaks down on his Wheel
Chair, "Amy took a bad fall in a Match and they rushed her
here." Jeff replied looking down to the ground trying to
force back a tear.
"I'm sorry to here that" He replied noticing the upset
look on Jeff's face, "Why aren't you in there with
her?" Jamaal asked, "I can't do that, I love her too
much, I can't watch her in pain" Jeff replied sobbing and
coughed as he choked out the words, "She probably is scared
right now, You should be with her" Jamaal replied reaching
into his pocket and pulling out a Carton of Cigarettes.
"You think" Jeff asked turning to Jamaal who was
lighting himself a Cigarette, "Yea man I do" Jamaal
replied taking a Deep breath into the Cigarette, He saw Jeff just
watching him and offered him a Cigarette, He took one from the
carton and placed it between his lips, He saw the APA do this a
thousand times he told himself, taking the Lighter into his hand.
Lighting the Cigarette his mouth soon filled with the thick smoke
it produced, Coughing a bit Jeff fought his body into accepting
it.
"It'll do her a lot of good if you see her" Jamaal
replied again taking another breath out of his Cigarette and
blowing the smoke out of the side of his mouth, "Yea, what
about you, why are you here?" Jeff asked he was finally
getting used to breathing in something that to him tasted like
nothing but tar.
