Matt was in the
limo with Joanie, Paul, Adam and Allanah He really didn't want to
be in there but this was the only way he was gonna get to Raw
that night. There it was, in his face... love. Paul was holding
Joanie. Allanah was asleep in Adam's arms. Matt was the only one
in the only person without somebody in his arms. He looked at
Adam & Allanah like he wanted to cry. Matt knew he deserved
someone to love but he still didn't get it.
"I can't wait until Raw starts." Paul said.
"Why is that, sweetie?" Joanie asked.
"Tonight the McMahon-Hemsley Faction is breaking up and I
don't have to feud with Dwayne anymore. We were getting sick of
that. Do you know how many times we've fought each other? I told
the writers we had to change the story lines... ALL the story
lines because the shows were starting to get predictable to
me."
"Do you still have to be with Stephanie?"
"They're still thinking about that one."
Joanie sighed. Stephanie was cool with her but she was tired of
seeing Paul with her on television as her wife. Joanie wanted to
marry Paul, she didn't care if it was just a story line. She
didn't think it would be this long.
"Stephanie is great to work with. She's gotta be the best
actress. She's sacrificed a lot by being in this angle with me.
The writers are just trying to help my career, Joanie."
"I know, I know." Joanie smiled.
Joanie & Paul started kissing. Matt looked at them with lust
in his eyes. It had been a long time since he tasted somebody's
tongue. He turned away. He couldn't stand the sight of Paul and
Joanie kissing.
"Yo, Matt." Adam said.
"Yeah?"
"Did you get an invitation to Steve and Debra's
wedding?"
The limo stopped. They had arrived at the arena. Matt looked Adam
in his eyes.
"I couldn't give a damn." Matt said.
He got out of the car and slammed the door behind him. The last
thing he wanted to see was a wedding but it was then that he
decided he was gonna tell Amy how he felt about her. He was on a
mission now. Adam and Allanah looked at Matt with concern in
their eyes. Something was wrong with their friend and they wanted
to fix it.
******
Jeff was thinking about Matt that whole night at Raw. He didn't
pay much attention to Trish. Matt didn't even come to their
dressing room. He was looking for Matt frantically. Trish was
still a little mad at Matt for slapping her man but Jeff talked
her into forgiving him. Jeff ran into Amy. Amy looked at Jeff but
then stared at the floor with a frown on her face. She still felt
uncomfortable about having sex with Jeff.
"Uh.. Amy, have you... seen Matt?"
"Yeah. He was on the bus. He's getting dressed in Jay's
room."
"Thank God. Thank you so much, Amy."
He smiled at Amy. She turned and walked away. She didn't want to
be near Jeff right now even though she had to accompany him and
Matt to the ring later.
*********
Amy was in her rental car listening to Kid Rock driving back to
the hotel. She hadn't seen Matt since their match earlier. Jay
said he had left early because he was sick. Jay told Amy that
Matt said to come see her before the night was over. She was
wondering what Matt wanted Amy for while she was driving. There
was a twinkle in her eye when she thought about what it could be,
she smiled to herself.
**LATER THAT NIGHT**
Adam and Lillian Garcia were in Matt's room and they stared at it
with amazement. They couldn't believe what they saw.
"Tell Brian I said I'm sorry for what I said."
"He'll be alright. I'll tell him." Lillian said.
"So you're gonna straighten this thing with Amy?" Adam
asked.
"Yeah. I told Jay to tell her to stop by tonight."
"Are you still mad at Jeff?" Lillian asked.
"Yes. He hasn't come apologized to me for doing what he did.
He knows I've liked Amy for a long time and he's gonna go and
sleep with her. That's a bunch of bullshit and he knows it. I
don't feel any regrets for slapping him. He's gotta learn to be
more mature than that."
"I'm quite sure he's willing to talk about it but you aren't
willing. He's tried many times to apologize but you keep walking
away." Adam said.
"Well, I guess I shouldn't be doing that if he's trying to
make things better. I was wrong about him. I'm the one being
immature. I'll talk to him tomorrow. Now, I gotta talk to Amy and
hopefully, this will help."
"If Brian wore something like that, I would melt in his
arms." She said as she looked at what Matt was wearing.
"Yes, Lillian. We know you love your man." Adam smiled.
"Just like you love Allanah... let's get out of here. Amy
should be here any minute. You sure you're okay, Matt?"
Lillian asked.
"Yeah. Thanks for your concern, guys. I really appreciate
it."
"Anytime. We love you, man." Adam messed up Matt's hair
and smiled at him with his white teeth.
"You're crazy. Get out of here." Matt said.
"Bye." Lillian said.
"I hope you and Brian have another great night." Matt
said.
"You know we will." Lillian smiled.
Adam and Lillian left Matt's room. Matt smiled to himself. Adam
& Lillian were two of Matt's closest friends. They understood
everything Matt was going through. Jay did too. He was thankful
to have good friends like them. Matt fixed his hair in the
mirror. He cut on the music he had just bought. It sounded very
romantic, that's the way he wanted it. He cut off the lights.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"Who is it?"
"Amy."
"Come in."
Amy took a deep breath and walked in. She gasped. The lights were
off, romantic jazz music was playing and to top if off, candles
were lit across the room. She looked around to see Matt. He was
wearing this beautiful blue silk shirt with the buttons undone
showing off Matt's chiseled and muscular chest. He was beautiful.
Amy started to cry. Matt walked up to her.
"Tonight, all my dreams come true... because tonight... is
my first night with you."
Matt took Amy gently in his arms and looked into her eyes. He
could tell they were both finally getting what they've wanted for
so long... love. Matt tilted his head and kissed Amy. His tonuge
crept into Amy's mouth. He explored Amy's mouth with his tounge
gently and softly. Amy returned the favor by opening her mouth
and placing her tounge into Matt's mouth. She caressed Matt's
mouth and licked inside of it as if it were ice cream. She pulled
him closer. Amy controlled the kiss now. She wanted this kiss to
last forever. His chiseled body was pressed her body against the
wall. Amy ended the kiss.
"Slow down. Damn, you can kiss. You did all this for
me?" Amy asked.
"I'd do anything for you."
Amy smiled. No men in her life ever did so much for her. That's
when she realized Matt was different from the rest. Matt gave her
a feeling of safety, love and commitment.
"I wanna be with you, Amy. I need to be with you. You're
unlike any girl I've met."
He was pouring out his heart to her. He knew what he felt for her
was serious and he wanted her to feel the same way.
"If I can't have you, I don't want no one else." Matt
said.
Amy gasped and melted into his arms. She wanted to stay in his
arms forever. What he just said to her was so sweer. After so
many times of getting her heart broke, she never thought a man
would want to ever commit to her like that. When she was in
Matt's arms, Amy felt nothing in the world could harm her.
"Do you mean that, Matt? Do you really mean that? I've
fallen in love so many times... when it turned out not to be love
at all. Guys have told me so many lies that I've believed. From
those mistakes, I've learned that talk is cheap. Actions speak
louder than words and look at what you've done for me. Taking
time out of your day to make this room romantic... just to
impress me. You're unlike any man I've met. I've been afraid to
fall in love, Matt, because everytime I do, it never lasts... but
when I look in your eyes... I feel no fear. That tells me that
what I feel for you has got to be real. I wanna be with you
too."
Amy had never opened her heart to anyone like that before. That's
what made Matt smile and want her more. He wanted to change Amy's
thoughts about love. He wanted her to believe in love again. He
felt he was given the responsibility to do that because Amy made
Matt believe in love again. A wise man once said, it's better to
have loved than not at all. Knowing that, Matt knew what he had
to do.
"Say you'll be my girl."
"If you'll be my man."
**Jeff was in his rental car with Trish. Scott and Tori were in
the back giggling, cuddling and kissing. They all had went out to
eat. Trish thought Scott and Tori were the cutest couple, next to
Brian and Lillian. Jeff had a serious look on his face. He wanted
to know what was wrong with his brother. He hadn't smiled much
and Trish was concerned. She tried to cheer her man up but it
didn't work. She could always make Jeff smile.
"Jeff, Matt is fine. He just left early."
"He could've told me! Here I am sitting here worrying my ass
off about him when he was at the damn hotel all along. I've been
trying to work things out but he doesn't want to listen. Matt is
my best friend, Trish. Do you understand that?"
"Yes. That's why I'm worried about you."
Jeff sighed and kissed Trish on the cheek. He appreciated her
concern.
"Don't worry about me because by this time tomorrow, this
shit will be over with."
"Those girls have been following us in the carever since we
left the arena, Jeff." Tori said as she looked behind the
car through the window.
"They're just fans." Jeff replied.
"Damn. Girls love the Hardy Boyz." Scott said.
"Well, they can't have him because he's mine!" Trish
said.
Jeff smiled. Trish cheered him up but he still couldn't help but
wonder what Matt was doing at that exact moment.
*******
Amy had fell asleep in Matt's arms. They had been cuddling. Matt
finally had a girlfriend and he couldn't have been more happy.
She was so peaceful when she slept. Matt smiled and ran his
fingers through her hair. Matt didn't want to seduce Amy. He just
wanted to hold her through the night. That's all he wanted. Matt
had no doubt in his mind that their relationship would last. He
was gonna let anything come between him, nothing. All of his life
he wanted someone to love and now, he had it.
*******
The next thing Matt knew, it was seven in the morning. He woke up
by somebody that was knocking on his door. He was still wearing
his blue silk shirt. Amy was still in his arms. He didn't want to
wake up Amy. She was sound asleep. Matt picked Amy up and placed
her softly on his bed. He put a blanket over her so she wouldn't
be cold. Matt went to see who was at the door. He opened it and
it was Jeff. He was hesitant to let him in but he shrugged and
told him to come in. Jeff looked at Amy asleep on Matt's bed. He
wasn't surprised that she was there. Then again, he wasn't
worried about Amy, he wanted to fix things with his brother. He
and Matt sat down on the other bed.
"Matt, we gotta talk."
"I know."
Jeff looked at Amy and sighed. He knew what had to do and what
his big brother was expecting him to say. He known him for 22
years. He knew what Matt was going to do before he did it.
"I wanna apologize having sex with Amy."
"Don't apologize to me. Apologize to her. I swear Jeff, if
you ever take advantage of her like that again, I'll kill you and
you better believe it."
"I do, trust me. I'll apologize to her when she gets up.
Matt, I don't want you to be mad at me. I shouldn't have over
reacted when Trish and I had that fight. I should've been a man
about it. I'm sorry, man. I really am."
"I can look in your eyes and tell you are."
Matt grabbed Jeff and tickled him and smiled. He had his baby
brother back.
"I still love you, man."
"Same here, Matt."
They had made up. Matt didn't like it when he and Jeff fought.
"I don't got no regrets for slapping you, know that."
"I had a feeling you didn't but I ain't mad at 'cha. I guess
you and Amy hooked up, right?"
"Yeah and I'm so happy, Jeff. Look at her, she's beautiful,
I'm not gonna let anything take her away from me."
Jeff smiled. He realized Matt really liked Amy. He even
sacrificed his relationship with Jeff just to prove it. He was
happy for his brother. He wanted Amy and Matt's relationship to
last just as much as Matt wanted it to last. He knew Amy felt the
same.
"I'm happy for you, man." Jeff said with a smile on his
face.
"Where's Trish?"
"She's riding with Lillian and Ivory again. You know they're
best friends."
"Oh. Well, I'll leave you alone with Amy. Tell her I said
I'm not mad at you no more. Don't try anything, Jeff."
"I won't. I gotta apologize to her, our friendship ain't the
same."
"Alright. I'll be back. I gotta go to the gas station and
fill up this car. Gas is so damn high these fuckin' days. Tell
her I said I love her too."
"I know you do. Bye."
Matt changed into his Pearl Jam shirt and some shorts. He left
the room so then, it was just Amy and Jeff. Jeff eagerly waited
for when Amy awoke.
*******
Jason and Denise were making out in their room. She frantically
took off her tank top and Jason's shirt. She pushed Jason on the
bed and she was about to take off her bra but someone knocked on
the door.
"Damn it!" She said.
She picked up her tank top and stomped into the bathroom and
slammed the door. Jason put on his shirt. He was mad.
"Who the fuck is this? Interrupting me while I'm about to
fuck my girl." Scott said to himself.
He opened the door and it was Matt.
"What the hell you doing here, man?"
"I left my Pearl Jam CD here."
"Well, get it and get the hell out."
"Okay."
Matt laughed, got his CD and left the room.
******
Amy woke up and looked for Matt but she saw Jeff instead. She
thought she had just had sex with Jeff again. She pulled the
covers quickly over her and Jeff knew what she was thinking.
"Amy, what you're thinking isn't true. I came here to
apologize."
"Apologize for what?"
"For taking advantage of you, for having sex with you, for
not being a man. You don't deserve that. Even though I knew you
had been liking me, I shouldn't have did that. You want real love
and I can't give you that but Matt can and I hope your
relationship with him lasts always."
Amy smiled. That was so sweet. She decided to accept his apology.
"I accept your apoloogy. Matt's not mad at you
anymore?"
"No, we straightened things out."
Jeff looked at his watch.
"Look, Amy, I gotta go to a doctor's appointment. Will you
be okay?"
"Yeah, thanks for talking to me, Jeff. It helped."
"I'm glad it did, Amy. Oh, yeah. Matt said he loves
you."
Amy smiled and looked at Jeff with a very happy look in her eyes.
She pulled the covers over her and screamed.
"DAMN, I LOVE THAT WHITE BOY!"
Jeff laughed and left the room. It was good to see somebody happy
again for a change. Little did Jeff know, tomorrow would be one
of the toughest nights of his life.
