Hairy monsters
in my house
everywhere shedding
in the bathroom
on the floor
in their combs
in the basin
long and short
in the shower recess
(a soggy mess)
in the bathtub
on the shelf
on the tap
on the soap
on the bench
on the mats
on the toilet seat
short and wiry
and it's not the cat
for that matter
it's not my colour either.
Mine is on the carpet
here beside me.
