Words, words and more words
I think it silly, stupid, absurd
The dictionary to open and browse
and thesaurus,  it will take me hours
from A through to Z
These books I have scanned,
scoured and read,
looking for clues,
For 1 across, it’s simply DELUDES
meaning, BAMBOOZLES, FOOLS and BEGUILES

Now there’s SARCASM to add to my files.
One down, it wont link
I’m in terrible trouble, I think
I pull my hair by the roots
Five across is to BOOT
and five Down is ABUSED
another word for DAMAGED, HARMED and MISUSED.

Lock the windows, and bolt the doors
I must sit, aloof, remote and forlorn
All alone, it pleases me to be
"Who’s that, questions my sanity?"
My poor aching head, it is bald
The answer I found, I’m enthralled.

Now, to unbend and unwind
the clue, I never declined.
One Down, is rude, crude
and shouldn't be heard
It’s an astute, naughty CROSS WORD.
