| Shadows of the Heart All alone am I Sitting in this room No light in which to see Nobody to talk to I walk for miles on Yet I reach no walls to touch No dirt to feel Nothing seems real Though it doesn't matter much All alone am I In this forbidden place Not quite near reality But so close to which I can taste Nothingness surrounds me No sky that I can see No soft white sand by the beach Under the summer breeze Just cold darkness And a rock to which I sit No grass or trees Flowers or bees Though it doesn't matter one bit All alone am I In this darken space Though I feel a heartbeat I feel no hunger, thirst or pain All alone am I Maybe this is a sign of what happens to you When your hearts been broken one too many times |
