Rating: 3.0 Comment: This was overall, a disappointment. This was one of my first beers to try, so my taste may not have developed right by then, I'll try it again and get back to ya. From what I remember though, it just had too much of a bitter taste.
Name: Goose Island: Honker's Ale Brewer: Goose Island Beer Co.
Date: June 23, 2002 Alc %: 4.7
Rating: 3.2 Comment: Since this beer taste like the other Goose Island beer, I'd hazard a guess that they all have the same taste except for the aftertaste. The aftertaste on this beer stands out just as much as the other one but it is slightly more pleasing. Its not really unique, more bitter then anything. I find it to be just like Summertime in where I can stand the aftertaste for 1 or 2 beers but after that I'd need to switch to another brand before having another one. Again, Goose Island makes beers that you like or dont like, a middle ground is hard to find.
Name: Goose Island: Summertime Brewer: Goose Island Beer Co.
Date: June 19, 2002 Alc %: 4.2
Rating: 3.0 Comment: The first taste I got when drinking this beer was the typical beer taste with a touch of something behind it. I sure was right cause that after taste sure does have something. I cant place the taste at all, I've never tasted anything like it before. Its not a bad taste but I think its the type of taste you either like or dislike, theres no middle ground. I would be able to drink 1 or 2 in a setting but I wouldnt be able to finish off the pack unless I had some tasty food to help pass the time. This is one of 4 or 5 Goose Island beers I'll be trying.
Name: Guinness Draught Brewer: Guinness
Date: August 14, 2002 Alc %: ?
Rating: 0.7 Comment: Since the can says to pour into a glass after opening I went ahead and followed what they said. When I was pouring it, it looked like chocolate milk which I like very much. When it settled in the glass, the color turned black but the head was still chocolate color. To bad all the chocolate stuff stopped there cause this beer has one nasty bite. Not even food could save this beer from its fate. The taste and aftertaste are all mixed up into one big nasty "eww". Its hard to explain why a beer isn't good when you cant even bare to have it in your mouth. Cant tell how smooth it is since I can barely swallow the liquid. I've seen some other Guinness beers but after this I might steal a can before actually buying a 6pack. I know some of you are probably saying "what the hell does he know about Guinness" well I know that this beer sucked.
Name: Guinness Extra Stout Brewer: Guinness

Rating: 0.8 Comment: This stuff was just bad. It had a distinctive smell to it that I didn't like. It was just way too much flavor for me, and I'd say prolly about 99% of the world's population. The only way I could finish one of these would be if I had a piece of shit to eat with it, you know, something to get the taste out of my mouth. To me, this beer isn't worth the $.05 refund you get for the bottle.
Name: Heineken Lager Brewer: Heineken Brouwerijen B.V.
Date: June 29, 2002 Alc %: 5.0
Rating: 3.6 Comment: This didn't quite live up to my expectations. A little darker than what I had imagined. The initial smell after gettin the cap off gave me doubts. But, I gotta give this beer one thing, it doesn't taste as bad as it smells. It has a little bit of a bite to it, but not harsh by any standards. I'd drink it again... if you're buying.

Date: June 19, 2002 Alc %: 5.0
Rating: 1.0 Comment: This beer has a strong smell to it, not really a bad smell but it does go with the taste. Which isnt saying much, the taste is really heavy and it lingers in your mouth. Its also a little bitter. I didnt like the taste or the smell and wouldnt drink it again if I was given a years supply for free. Also being a import, you'll pay more and run the chance of getting old beer.
Name: Honey Brown Brewer: Leinenkugel Brewing Company
Date: June 29, 2002 Alc %: ?
Rating: 2.7 Comment: I like this beer is not my favorite, or even anywhere close to it for that matter. It has smell that isn't really comparable to other beers and a taste to match. I guess this is a beer you'd have to be in a specific mood to drink... or at least I would, that's assuming that I'd ever drink it again.
Name: Honey Weiss Brewer: Leinenkugel Brewing Company

Rating: 2.6 Comment: Overall, this was not a very good beer. It's more of a local beer, or at least that's what I was told. It had a unique scent to it. It had a light taste, but I guess I just don't care for the 'honey' beers. I tried to give it a fair shot, but I couldn't even finish the beer.
