Same-Sex Marriage Battle - Not a Pretty Fight

Most people seem to be very happy with the outcome of the Senate's July 15th decision. However, I am EXCEPTIONALLY proud of the method used to sway any "middle men!" A campeign was launched threatening to "out" every republican and democratic senator (and workers) if this vote had turned ugly. Virginia Is For Lovers! (Some restrictions apply)

On July 1, 2004, gay and lesbian couples in the Commonwealth of Virginia lost all rights to enter any contract that would convey legal protections granting rights automatically included with civil marriage. July 1, 2004 - Cellphones in D.C.

Today Washington, D.C. put into action their new law forbidding the use of handheld cellular devices while driving in the district. You can still use cellphones as long as they are attatched to a hands-free unit. Anybody seen using a handheld cellular device while driving will be ticketed, fined $100 and be given 1 point against their license. Does anybody really see a reason for this? First there's no smoking in bars in California, Mass. is trying to illegalize smoking in the streets, and now there are lobbyists attempting to rid cell phones in public areas. Come on!
