Alone

ALONE

a word of solitary depression

to some

but it suits me fine

Some of my best times
are when i let my stressed mind
sit

ALONE

without distraction
without interaction
without any action
other than my own

ALONE

a five-letter word with cluttered meaning
describing barren surroundings

ALONE

like the last leaf

            from a tree
like the early bird
that catches the worm
and flies free

like the early worm shouldn't be

like i wanna be

like thoughts that bounce
in the mind's rubber walls
locked tight

ALONE

like the first ray of God's Light

ALONE

in a dark room at night
without fright

ALONE

with the sweet silence
that pounds my ears
like a bass drum

sittin

ALONE

lets me know where i came from
some times i might even play dumb
just to get some time

ALONE

yes leave me

ALONE

locked safe in my home

dusting the cobwebs off my exhausted dome

ALONE

so i can write a poem

yes

ALONE

an individual
do not place me in a group

unless i am in a group

ALONE

just me and the truth

ALONE

the forbidden piece of fruit

ALONE

like the birth of a child
like the rainbow after the storm

ALONE

and proud

ALONE

and beautiful

ALONE

and UNUSUAL

born alone
die alone

i leave as i came

ALONE
