Another Night

another night
in my bed where i lay 'wake
mind wanderin' sometimes til day break
personal thoughts drownin' out the sounds they make
like the way that thunders might

another night
where all i do is try to sleep
when i soar through dreams and fly too deep
hidin' from the shadows where eyes do peek
like the thick blanket that covers night

another night
where i drowned in dreams
that remain so vivid and profound it seems
that i found my screams now sound obscene
much like the secrets of a lover might

another night
to cool off my temper's steam
when the pains of the day resemble a clever scheme
dreamers never do but doers never dream
i guess my mother's right

another night
to chase the youth i've left behind
seeking Inspiration in the breath of Time
through the hourglass sands i spot a man who left a sign
like an experienced hunter's sight

another night
to realize i've always tried to be
what people wanted instead of what's inside of me
now i fit in with myself instead of society
so much for fright

one last night
for me to be myself
dig deep inside and see my wealth
because others might need my help
and i know that's right

another night
