i feel like tupac, it's just me against the world
i'm tense and filled with anger that nonsense revealed
my pens are filled with blood and pain that i shed
on the paper, every day capers leave my eyes red
from the stress and the tears that flow steadily
i know enemies are close, it's a test of the years
that i alone deal with because no one understands
i'm just another man who feels shunned and damned
tryin' to find my place, dealing with mindless snakes
a victim of their venom and time's mistakes
can my mind erase the trespasses i've forgiven?
the wounds have healed but with the scars i'm still livin'
a constant memory that won't pass eventually
could it be the endless stress is my destiny?
some friends of me turn out to be enemies
i guess that was the way it was meant to be
so who am i to question life's daily lessons?
maybe there's a blessin' behind all the stressin'
you never know but i wish i had a chance
to see the bigger picture at a glance
instead of always letting the madness dance
inside my mind, dropping like an avalanche
i'm so sick of the pain that sits in my brain
it rips and it strains 'til i feel fits that remain
it's a mix of the stains; a deadly combination
that leaves my soul tormented and i a tortured abomination
one day it'll all make sense for that i pray
until then i'm stranded, an emotional castaway
