City of Angels

I hear music in a sunrise, and can read your every thought
Every moment that I'm with you, I don't ever want to stop
God gave me free will also, I could easily take the big plunge
Did I fall off a train? not really, I merely fell in love
How can you tell when I hold you? It's because you feel my touch
Looking for excuses, it's this feeling that you should trust
You hold my heart in your hands, and can see me when I'm hidden
And if I'm ever asked, your Love's what I loved about livin'
I could gaze in your eyes for a lifetime, to memorize such a fair face
I have eaten of many fruits but to you I wanna know how a pear tastes
You toss and turn in your sleep and hardly get a nights rest
You're the closest to Heaven that I've ever seen and I dont wanna go home right yet
Everyday we're alive we fight death, but who are we fighting against
Just to reveal myself, I would risk 30 years of silence
I came all this way to hold your hand right now
I wanna give you all eternity, but I don't know quite how
And if I knew it would end in tragedy, would I do it anyway?
I'd rather have one breath of your hair, than eternity without anyday
And when the candle blows out, when life is no longer painful
I will await you back in Heaven, amongst a City of Angels.
