Cocoa Butter

i see you dancing your earth dance
twirling and grooving and seeking your first chance
connected to the nature that births plants
my cocoa butter

i hear you whisper the wind
spoken words seducin' the mixture within
invoking loose lumps of goose bumps to blister my skin
my cocoa butter

i smell your sweet fragrance of spring flowers
commanding me to lose touch and sing louder
appreciation of the concoctions that bring power
my cocoa butter

i dream of your love that's known to capture
the breath of inspiration in every poem i ask for
explicit though i miss it like unknown disasters
my cocoa butter

so i miss you while i issue another fantasy
lost in a destiny that's planned for me
connected in an eclectic bitter-sweet canopy
my cocoa butter

i witness you while i stand below the others
vaguely familiar; let me show the cover
down deep in a crowned sleep and so my lover
you're my cocoa butter
