the electric poet still screams
from the mountain top
gibberish thoughts echoing
in the canyon
descending down the river
the branches draining into our souls
feeding us of the livelihood
denied by moses' mother
our life force continues
thriving, racing and rushing
beneath the tides; citizens of atlantis
warped and breathing air
suffocation that traverses doubt
and the electric poet
composes his melodies
and psalms while staring
at the blistering dawn
cry, banshees!
with cries of shakespearean thought
cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war
arise phoenix from your severed garden
give birth to the nations
that will govern
the aquarian age
on these foreign shores
spawned so long ago
from the swirling chaotic void
when God made us in Its image
and then we made gods
in our image
gods of wrath that feel anger
exterminating humanity
gods that feel anguish and regret
and sacrifice their child
for our sins
like tribal customs of old
tear down your altars
and sheath your sacrificial daggers
let the electric poet
serenade the stars
swoon the moon
and describe the universe
in one stanza
and when that day comes
i will weep in the streets
praising lady justice
for removing the blindfold
laying down her sword
and balancing the scales
once and for all
the planets shift
the zodiac migrates
a new season is born
but the electric poet lives on
