i spread my arms
and shed the dawn
take flight into the great night
before we are dead from bombs
i led my fawns
out of the wilderness
to where the collapsed buildin' is
seein' images of tyler durden's world
am i a visionary
or livin' rarely
am i saint or sinner?
do i have enough colour
to paint your inner
and just as easily taint a winner
because i can't remember
when i passed the past
and laughed at last
but all i know is that my nafs collapsed
i see muhammad on a comet
and buddha spreading rumours
i see jesus playin' spades with disbelievers
but is shootin' dice with christ
the path to paradise?
i lay down with the earth mother
to be the first smothered
by her fur cover...
while father time whispers
'you are her brother'
and morpheus whisks me away to a land of dreams
chasing pan as he plans the schemes
and yahweh stands obscene
in a corner because he can and screams
'humanity! i AM your theme!!!'
and suddenly the earthquakes
i fear i wont see my next birthday
could my love of wisdom
be my worst mate?
stars falling from the heavens
televangelical reverands
screaming apocalyptic legends
at the tops of their lungs
flames consuming pangaea as hot as the sun
meanwhile the dry bones rot in the slums
and i'm caught in the tongues
praising that which i rejected
and not even knowing it!!!!
who am i to beg and grovel and cry for salvation
when i have my own foundation
and i steady speak of your foul satan
AS FALLACIES!
scare tactics fattening our mind like calories
has the revelation now released
i take a second to ponder
but the day is too hectic to squander
the oceans rise above the plains
drenching us in tons of rains
that which is timeless
has suddenly become violent
no longer can we pretend we are blinded
and hold onto nothing but science
and then...
there was silence...
and i was reborn
i was there
at a position of perfect worth
my existence reversed
everything new; nothing rehearsed
i was the last and the first
no longer cursed...
heh...
and i never even went to church
